When I open the application the icons don't show and it kicks me out of the program

I am a long time Omnisketch user and LOVED it. It was BY FAR the best of the Harmony-clone (pure procedural brush) drawing apps. I've long hoped for an update to fill a few of its functionality gaps, so I was DELIGHTED to finally see it in my update list today. And now... I am SO SORRY I clicked on it, because this "update" (if you can even call it that) is TERRIBLE. it completely destroyed the app. Very much hoping it is just a bug, and that the developer will fix it ASAP.
Works Fine. No problem with freezing or crashing.

Great for relaxing "doodling" for adult and five year old.
Completely in love with it...but IOS 8 is killing it

Still love the app but after the IOS upgrade it keeps crashing.

Was great but now broken and the developer doesn't seem to be interested in fixing it. Very sad.
