Control

BS88

More control over the bolus and basal please. It is nice to look at it but useless without any control.

YoDaddyBig

Do not understand how this app have so many great reviews. The app never is updated. When I try to updated it usually saids it’s unable… along with many other issues

New system is flaky

asfghhjkpoiuytrewq

Communication between the PDM and pods is VERY inconsistent. Do not upgrade until Insulet works out the bugs.

Crashing

Dexpod

I have an iPhone XR 128G. After updating to iOS 14.6 my display app continues to crash to the point that I can’t even view it at all.

3 stars because

I mean the app is nice but I think there is room for improvement like activating or deliver insulin. I think more info could be added.

Life changing

This little device holds enough insulin for 3 days. A little Android device is how you tell it to give you a dose, plus you program it to give you the basal dose throughout the day and night. You put in the amount of carbs you are about to eat, and your current glucose. It calculates exactly how much insulin to give. You can submerge it for at least 30 minutes, but I have definitely exceeded that time without a problem. When it gets low on insulin it beeps at you. You can set alarms for all kinds of things. I do love the devise, but happen to be allergic to the adhesive. There are many skin barriers. I’ve tried a bunch. But my favorite is by Smith & Nephew. It’s simply called “Skin Prep Protective Spray”. Without something like this the adhesive can be super hard on your skin. The only other con is that it is bulky. It can be challenging to find a spot on your abdomen that isn’t too obvious, in the way of your clothing, or on a spot you would lean/sleep on. And if you do put pressure on it, it can make you sore. Application is very easy. Depending on the spot you choose, sometimes it is very quick and only hurts for a second. But sometimes you can hit a nerve. And that’s an owie for several seconds. I look forward to the upgrade where it will communicate with my continuous glucose monitor and adjust automatically.

Game Changer!

Over the years, I have tried the array of Basal insulins w “some” or minimal luck and solid results w my FBS! This is absolutely beautiful— No issue w FBS/Dawn Phenomenon/ High(er) Blood Sugar upon wake up! This in conjunction w Dexcom makes for happy guy and an A1C that makes me smile;’went from good to great in my book!
