Lost many important recordings

I have used Olympus for dictation with good results for many years, but recently my phone based Olympic app, which we paid for, lost several very important and long dictations what are taking me many hours to recreate, because I have to go back and review documents and find mark ups. I would definitely recommend not using this product without understanding this risk. The company informs me that the phone no longer has the recording when it is sent, and that if the e-mail sent does not make it to the e-mail address the recording is gone. So your recordings are only as secure as the internet system and internet, so good luck. I recommend using a system where the phone retains the data until you voluntarily delete it. I am very disappointing in this apparent flaw, and wish anyone trying this system the best.

Records your voice but hangs and resets when you try to send by email. Hangs and resets during the conversion process. Olympus makes great dictation products but this program doesn't meet it's usual standards.

The application will record okay, but when you try and e-mail the file it locks up or repeatedly gives an Error Conversion Failed message. I've used Olympus dictation products for years and had great hopes for this - but don't be fooled by the name and don't waste your time with it.

The screen shots of this app suggest it allows users to record in the DSS format. But it doesn't. You need the Olympus Dictation Delivery Service, which is nowhere to be found in the App Store or the Olympus website. And Olympus offers no stand alone DSS players for Mac. So Olympus players are essentially useless to Mac users. I've called numerous dealers for a work around to no avail. Olympus is one of those companies that wants to cater to Apple folks but falls disastrously short. Which is inexplicable for a task as easy as voice recording. Apple folks should stay away from Olympus.

Freezes on intial attempt to record anything. Pressing the record button results in a delay, then a button appearance change seemingly indicating that it is working, but the timer stays at 0:00 and the rest of the app freezes. multiple restarts lead to the same endpoint. Get it together, Olympus.

I have tried them all…this one is the absolute most reliable, easy to use, hours of dictation in a flawless format, condensed, email to many with a single click. Great for brainstorming. Simple to record and email voice to transcribers around the world. Worth more than the computer in having the ability to delegate to many. I have used for over 5 years and tried others without the same success. Not sure why it is free. The iPhone mic works great but a higher quality mic to iPhone increases quality by 200% but not necessary. You will be glad you downloaded this valuable tool.
