Runs smoothly on my battered old touch 2g, good gameplay, some of the nicest 'dual stick' controls I've come across. Would have been a 5 star rating, but I'm not convinced it won't get old quickly.

First off, the old leaderboard system was ditched in favor of both OpenFeint and Game Center support for online high score and achievement tracking. The game also now supports multitasking and has received a decent graphical improvement in the explosion and particle effects department. The maximum number of enemies onscreen has also been increased for even more action, and many other minor tweaks and fixes have tightened up the overall experience. Best of all is that Occurro! is now entirely free to download and play. There are no ads, no in-app purchases, and no plans to increase the price in the future. Acceleroto just wants to put the game out there for people to enjoy and hopefully spread the brand name around for a possible future release. As my mother once taught me, you never look a gift game in the mouth, and for the price of free you should definitely give Occurro! a try if you fancy a solid dual-stick arcade game.

I'm a VERY picky shooter game fan and this one is done very well from the brief snatches of play I've had with it today. Chillingo quality at minimum. Of course like all shooters this one will either end with beating it or if like geometry wars then boredom - either ending is always sad with good game.

This game is fun, but I found myself triggering the bombs unintentionally as a result of moving around without shooting and then shooting (which registers as a double tap). I'm not sure there's any easy way around this, since I don't shoot constantly while I'm standing still.

It's a great game. But limited Its scope an had some control issues. Not many different types of enemies, and the types that do exist don't alter the gameplay depending on what spawns. There is also only one upgrade available. Controls took getting used to. Basically you have to keep shooting to prevent double taping and launching a Bomb. Still great fun for 3 minutes if free time a day.
