Did not teach beginner how to read musical notes, or what each one means.
Worst game to play
I is helping me a lot! I wasn't able to tell which key to press but that was a lot of help! It would be worth it even if it was 100 dollars! I have bean interested in music for a while, but now I can't go to lessons ? it will be a while till I go!

I'd been meaning to get some flash cards to help me learn to read easier then had the bright idea to look for an app and tada! Works great and I've made a ton of progress in just a few days.

1st: Well worth the $. It's teaching me to know & relate note-names, staff positions, & keyboard keys; that's what I bought it for. Needs timer & hit/miss counter, to compute a score based on speed & accuracy, so I have a way to track progress, and a target for improvement. Would be cool if it had a way to work the whole Grand Staff (bass & treble) at once. Also, small bug in switching from portrait to landscape - I have to rotate it twice before the app catches on. Despite these quibbles, Highly Recommended.

This app is great and I'm focusing so hard to learn the notes and let the repetition really sink in.

Opening the app plays a jingle even when my phone is on silent. Please make an option to silence that.

Much more fun for my 6 yr old son than books. Would have been better if you could also do reverse (show key and find note).

Having taught piano for more than 35 years I have to say that 5 minutes out of each lesson with this game has brought more improvement with note reading than those tired old cardboard flash cards! The sound of each note has improved their ear training and having it right on my phone couldn't be more convenient. What a wonderful tool for a small price! I have both beg. & int. versions. Thank you!!
