People love Notes because it's easy and it works.
This basic flashcard app helps beginners learn the letter names for notes on the bass and treble clef ("F" on bass through to "G" on treble).
Features:
• Displays a random note on the musical staff and you tap the correct letter/key.
• For MIDI savvy folk - this app is now MIDI enabled! Use Apple Core MIDI compliant devices with the app.
• Change to either treble or bass clef by tapping the clef.
• Toggle the visual effects on/off by tapping the trophy icon.
• Practice only specific notes (tap the gears icon to enter the Settings screen where you can disable all but the specific notes you want to practice).
TIP:
This app has slightly different functionality for portrait orientation vs. landscape orientation. To switch orientations: 1) make sure you have orientation lock off, then 2) launch the app in portrait mode, then rotate your device to landscape mode. If it's not rotating for you, try toggling your lock orientation setting and try again. If you need help, contact us.

This app taught me how to read notes in 3 days and it also teaches you the keys. Just 15 20 minutes a day. Just keep with it.
I found this useful for getting me to recognize notes on a staff more quickly. I was a bit disappointed to find that, having completed the treble staff and bass staff, I found no grand staff to move on to. That would have been a nice way to further my skills. Perhaps in the next version?
This blue app is excellent for beginners. It has great explanations on how to use. It is easy to use. It allows for endless practice and doesn’t time out which is nice. Very effective! Since there is a sister app that is outlined in red - this blue one should be labeled “beginner” and the red one “advanced” to help us know which one to get.
It’s really good for beginners Who just started taking piano lessons but the notes move really fast and I can’t really catch up with them yet.
You give notes, but what are the notes. First you should teach the notes, and then you should quizzed the notes.
Does exactly what it was designed to do. I use this app dozens of times everyday. If your serious about memorizing the notes on both staffs then don’t hesitate to get this!
