NOON app provides an intuitive user experience in VR mode.
[VR Videos]
With NOON app, users can browse and watch all the videos stored in the phone/PC in VR space.
360-degree videos, stereoscopic 3D videos, and normal 2D videos are supported.
Users can select and play the videos by simply changing the head orientation in VR mode. To activate any button in VR mode, just hover the on-screen cursor on it for two seconds.
[Remote feature]
Stream videos, games, and images from your PC to NOON VR with the new ‘Remote’ feature.
[Simply tapping]
In VR mode, users can re-orient the front direction of the content by simply tapping any part of the headset or the phone through vibration detection mechanism.
In VR mode, the control menu pops up by double-tapping the headset or the phone. Even during the video playback in VR mode, users can adjust the screen size, change the screen aspect ratio, adjust the volume, seek the video, and switch the video formats.

Don't make the mistake I made and waste time downloading this for google cardboard. If you don't have an unlock code from this exact brand of cardboard this player won't work. Lame.

Original review 08-15-2015: While I understand that it is within the rights of Noon VR to require a dedicated headset for functionality of the app, allowing access to "the masses" would provide more exposure to Noon VR's products and ecosystem. From what I can see of the app it looks really nice, but since I already have a VR viewer, I unfortunately cannot justify buying a new just to use this app. Update 09-12-2015 Got a chance to explore this app with the recently added trial mode. I really like the interface with the tap the back of the phone to center and the double tap to open the options menu. Brilliant! The menu system is very well done and the content selection process is intuitive and easy to use. Selection and playback of user's camera roll videos is smooth and stutter free. I also like the option to stream or download the "Koom" videos but there doesn't seem to be much new content being presented as of yet. The con is of course that you must purchase a Noon headset to unlock the non time restricted version of the app which is a no go if you have already invested in another HMD. Perhaps an in app purchase to unlock the app?
Best 3D VR app.. Just needs a pay version

This is the best 3D VR app out there for iOS... So it gets 5 stars... However there is no way to pay for the app without buying the hardware, so it gets a 1... That is why I gave it a 3. Please, please, take our money. Let us pay for the unlock code or make a paid version available without needing to buy a new headset I can't afford or justify. Thanks.

I thought the headset was very well built and the picture quality is magnificent.But the app itself is not very fun because there is not much to do. I would just go with the regular vr apps you can get on the App Store.

I actually got this for my birthday, with the official noon headset. Video loading is very long, sometimes infinite, and downloaded videos lead to a black screen. Also it sometimes says I have insufficient memory even though I do. Please fix

....but content on this app is terrible. I'm talking about the 360* content. Badly compressed video that looks fuzzy and awful. This app doesn't stream HD content. Videos could look 3 times better than this. They make the experience hurt the eyes badly.

Got the Noon VR, happy, used Noon app, disappointed! The settings provided are nice , but the codec are awful , First of all, needs more sources options, such as, network Hard drive, VR player helper through laptop FTP, etc And needs real mkv codec , powerful codec to play videos and movies. Please inform me if you already made progress, and I would be happy to be beta tester ASAP! Best regards, Sultan.
