I would give this 5 stars but every time I try to play back whatever sound made the alarm go off, the whole app shuts off. If that could be fixed that would be awesome.

The noise meter works well. If you can give user the ability to control the background music & alarm separately, it would be great because the music isn't loud enough for the classroom to hear. Also, when the classroom is very noisy, you can't hear the alarm. I downloaded app on IPAD too, but still not loud enough. I bought a portable blue tooth speaker thinking that it would play the music louder but it didn't because there is no way to make the background music louder. The speaker just made the alarm noise louder.

I was so excited to use this app in my classroom. As I have a very chatty group. The alarm feature was what made me download the app. Well presentation day came. I showed student the meter and how it works. Of course during, class work time students began to be very chatty and loud. The app was reading and recording when sounds were above level but never heard an alarm. It drained my battery because I had it running in the background, hoping to hear alarms. Very disappointed! Even worse I accidental purchased “pro” version. Money wasted.

Works as advertised. I have employees who work in a loud space (because they are loud). Going to attach this to speakers in the area to gently "remind" them to keep it down. I imagine individuals can place this on their desks for the same effect. :-)

Good idea, but missing some key features

For starters, having only three alarm tones isn't enough. The app needs a much larger variety or, better yet, the capability for users to add their own alarm tones. Second, the tone setting doesn't stay changed once you leave the screen - it just goes back to the default. Major bug. Finally, the app won't stop the phone from going to sleep. Major fail. Get these issues fixed quickly, and I'll change my review.

I love the idea of using this app during my reading groups to keep the rest of the class quiet. However I use my phone for a timer as well as other things in the class. As soon as you close out of this app, it no longer monitors the noise. Bummer.

Please add a feature that it stops measuring after the first alarm. By the time it start the alarm till I can disable it, it alarms several time which is annoying. I snore while sleeping so I use this app in quiet public pleases to wake me up as soon as I start snoring. Lol.

Ok but needs some fixes

Nice app, but as soon as I turn my screen off the app closes. I'm not going to keep my screen on just to use the app. Too bad too because I really wanted to like this app. iPhone 5c.
