Doesn't work it iOS 10 Health app

Tbone73747

How did you guys overlook this?! My runs and workouts aren't making it into the Health app ever since I updated to iOS 10. You've had months to prepare for the update and you completely dropped the ball.

Just Fix It. Used to be A+, Now a D-

It's a failure on par with when someone at Coca-cola decided to introduce "new Coke" in the 80s. This "updated" app is overthought and overwrought and is nearly a different app altogether. Please bring back Nike+ "classic." It was simple, reliable, effective and fast/smooth. Focus clearly has turned to the "club" part of NRC with an emphasis on feeds and social features (none of which interests me and I simply wouldn't use those features) but problem is that all that "stuff" seems to just bog down the app's performance and compromise the basic core features that made it a useful tool. Unfortunately someone turned the tool into a toy. Specific Issues for me: used to open app, hit two buttons to start run countdown - now I have to login each time I open app w password etc (and no Touch ID option and doesn't even remember my username = lots of typing). It frequently crashes - very frequently. User interface is confusing to follow and hard to read (even the color scheme is terrible now - no contrast). I often can't end a run - it will pause run but not display red "End" button. (I closed the app I frustration to end a run and the next day I had a 26 hr run in my log that I had to edit). Used show a simply text list w run history (date, mileage, time) now there are map/route icons so you can only see like 3 runs on the screen at a time & have to scroll - but scrolling is all jerky because the the maps have to load. If the prior version wasn't so great - this version wouldn't be so disappointing. I would be thrilled if Nike just brought the old one back.

Super Buggy

Update. After running with 5.03 some notes— Coach is struggling. I like the idea but terrible execution. Updates way to frequently. Two days this week I went to run and by the time I was out the door my distance and training program had changed! Also every time I start a run from coach the app says congratulations on reaching your goal of "0" miles. WHAT!?!? I have to manually enter in the coach miles. 5.03 + Shuffle added!! + controls aren't lagging anymore. - Auto Pause is still worthless. - coach is still super twitchy(see above) - changes my shoes every time. Why can it not just remember the last pair I selected? - music cuts out when playing through bluetooth and the app. - still doesn't sync with apple health! - I like that I can see my nike fuel but what happened caloric count? Should be an option to see that also! 5.02 Still need to have a function to shuffle playlist like the old app did. Had to turn auto pause off because the GPS cuts out so frequently that the app thinks you have stopped. Even while running. I love the concept and the architecture. But the mechanics are terrible. Get the team that coded the old app to fix whats "under the hood" 5.01 Controls lag terrible during runs. Touch controls un-responsive. Pauses run frequently when not stopped. Music is super laggy as well. Seems only nominally tied to run controls. Needs to be able to shuffle music inside a playlist like the old app did. App always crashes when in the social part after running when on LTE.

it was nice while it lasted

Ever since the last update. This app has been glitchy. :(

Pauses and pauses and pauses...

immoblized

So know that they've updated and "fixed" some of the glaring issues with the app, it's taken to almost being legitimately unusable. Last several workouts since 5.0.3 came out, the app pauses unexpectedly within a couple of seconds of starting, then will will say workout complete, THEN will say "halfway point" and then will continue track as "you are x-amount of miles/time beyond your goal," despite the fact that you have only ran .03 miles so far! So if you are depending on the app to accurately track your goal, it will only report whatever distance you have selected for reminders in basic settings (.5, 1 mile, etc.). Then it will continue to pause on its own periodically throughout your run. Very disappointed in this new app. Also, like many others, no link to health app, have to add data twice when using coach, coach programs are not effective ( training for a beginner half marathon with 5-6 runs per week, and my average mileage for the week is 8-20 miles? How does THAT prepare you for a half??), Apple Watch integration is not up to par, etc. whatever happened to "if it ain't broke, don't fix it?" This is what happens when you do!!

Still a step backwards from the original app.

LaLaRunnin'

It is a real drag that Nike did away with my favorite app, one that worked seamlessly, only to replace it with a shiny clunker that can't handle its own business. There are some good ideas here: sharing to a Nike-only run feed and the format of "activity"... but if it doesn't actually work, and it often doesn't, those ideas lose their shine. The app crashed mid-run and lost my miles, it crashes when I try to share something to the feed, and it is generally sluggish and mopey. Too many bugs still, Nike ... Poorly done.

What were they thinking...?

JC Exec

Terrible update, not only is complicated. But now my runs can't be synced up. Was the so called improvent worth it?

Change

TaylorfromTaylors

Please either fix this app so it works and doesn't crash constantly. Or bring the old app back. Change is good unless you go backwards. This new app is in desperate need of work to fix all the bugs.

Nike Run Update

wanderlustreader

I like the look and feel of the new app update, but hate the features that changed. For example, the run doesn't upload to social media applications unless you take a photo. It's also difficult to navigate and figure out where some of the old features are located. It could improve by allowing to search for friends connected to social media accounts, as well.

New App Not Convenient

Gate106

Explain to me "WHY I HAVE TO LOG IN" to use this app now, since we didn't have to before. It doesn't seem to be easy or convenient to use now. Usage screens are blah and sterile looking. What happened to "color". I guess the new Nike app is like "new Coke". Remember them??
