PostAppSucks
This app is so poorly designed and executed it blows my mind. It forgets settings, frequently asks me if I want to configure my watch when it’s been configured previously. Half the time when I run it doesn’t show the map on completion, and the app crashes on the iPhone 6 regularly. Perhaps the children in the sweatshops making Nike clothing can help with the bugs in the app because it’s pretty clear the engineers can’t get the job done.

The Nike+ app used to be so great back in the day when it was still red and black. I feel like ever since they changed to the volt green and black, the app just keeps getting worse and worse. I run with my Apple Watch and my runs don’t sync. And when they do, they all appear out of order which is frustrating when I’m trying to see my progress over the week. I deleted the app and reinstalled it today because I have a few runs that just won’t sync. Well now the freaking app won’t even open on my watch. It keeps telling me to “install it from the App Store.” Well I have already reinstalled it and even when I open the App Store from my Apple Watch app on my phone, it says its been installed. Yet it still won’t open. I have been a runner with Nike+ for over 8 years. But lately, they just keep disappointing me with every update. Like another reviewer before me, I will be deleting this app and switching over to Strava.

I’m somewhat protective of my time and attention, so I never got around to trying this app until now. Background: I run 4-7 miles/day most days, nearly always “untethered” carrying only my Apple Watch and AirPods. Nike has one serious advantage for me: at mile marks I get all the critical data read aloud to me in a clear and easy to understand voice (distance, total time, average pace). It’s brilliant! I never have to look at my watch. It integrates seamlessly with HealthKit and shows up in Apple’s Activity and Health apps. The community Nike supports and the other features like guided runs and training plans nicely round this out. Highly recommended.

Ask ONCE and if the user declines to provide a review do not spam them with the review prompt. While I’m making feature requests I would love the option to import runs and other workouts from the Apple Workouts app. Also as a user I like to listen to podcasts as I run and not music, not sure what the best way to solve that problem is since I believe there’s no nice integration point with podcasts like there is with Apple Music, just saying that is a point of friction for me personally.
upest with the app
Every time a start a program I get up to week two and then the app erase all of my progress and then I have to start all over again. It’s has happened twice. Developers need to make sure content is not erased every couple weeks!

Love this app - have returned to using it recently with my watch and iPhone. I also love how it works well with Spotify, but they could improve a bit on choosing albums, etc. Still a great app and motivator to run!

Abruptly closes app after a long workout and I lose all my hard work. Rand a half marathon and a few 10k and the app closed on me, only to lose my run. I would never recommend to anyone. I'm going to switch onto a Fitbit here shortly.
