Nightguard is an app that displays your blood glucose values from the Nightscout backend.

It is a native iOS App with support for the Apple Watch.
Features are:
- Define a range of acceptable blood glucose values.
- Whenever your values are out of range you will be alerted.
- You can snooze the alerts all the time and for a defined time period.
- You can reactivate the alerts all the time.
- You can activate alerts if the values are rising or falling too fast.
- The app displays yesterdays values as an overlay chart. This way you have a hint about how your values could behave in the future.
- Tune your basal rates with the statistics function to overlay different days

For the alarms to work the app has to be active. So you can enable a screen lock that keeps the app running all night long.

Have a look at www.nightscout.info for more information about how to setup your own Nightscout backend.

Great up until now.

Thanks for the response. Updated my NS and now the graph is working fine. But I’m still having problems with my Apple Watch 3. Clicking on the app causes it to force close on my Apple Watch. I reinstalled Nightguard, but that doesn’t seem to be the issue. I’m also running 5.3.9. Maybe that’s the issue? Is Swift supported on Apples watches running OS5?

Great App, Wish I Could Switch to It.

Was able to setup and configure Nightscout using the walk thru. Like the app a lot. Looks like a great group of folks have contributed to this project. I can't understand why alerts are not able to sound when the phone is locked. This limits the usability of the app greatly during the day. I'm sure this has been addressed. Must be a good reason. Also my data is delayed 2-3 minutes from the Dexcom follow data. Sugarmate populates as quickly as Dexcom. The way data is routed to the Nightscout site must cause the delay. I can live with 2 min. delay but kind of a bummer. If the alerts were always active / able to be received by notifications (no matter what my phone's screen is doing), this would be awesome. As it is, I got to stick with the Dexcom Follow app (terrible and annoying alerts I can't adjust) and Dexcom's increasingly poor and disconnected support. Is there any chance of making this app more usable--beyond sitting on my nightstand with the screen dimmed. Or just a handy way to tap into the Nightscout website if I'm curious? We mainly use the follow app as a way to monitor our son's glucose in realtime, wherever we have Wi-Fi / cell data. He might be outside playing or in his room on the other side of the house. The bluetooth limitations (maybe 20ft.) of the receiver make it impractical to be our primary source of alerting us. So we need our phones to act like his receiver basically with the alarms. Appreciate what yall are doing with this app!

Great Nightscout App

Easy 5 star if we could please have the ability to set any threshold for high alarms, I can't use alarms since my limit is 280, and I avoid high alarms just because it's not worth waking up my family for. Great app, the alarms are a huge feature and it is truly a quality of life improvement.

Watch app not working.

The app works perfectly on the phone. However, the watch app doesn't. It just shows a blank values screen. When you hard press on the watch the following message shows up, 'NIGHTSCOUT URI:' below that is the close button to leave the screen. Hope it gets fixed soon. Looks like a good watch app.

Looks good, needs some work

I'm new to your app and excited to see it in action. Every time I select the "Stats" button at the bottom the app turns to landscape view and then crashes. I've tried both with rotation locked and unlocked. As well, I have the complication enabled but it does not show in the list when I configure a watch face. I like the large display of the watch app but would rather see just the value on my watch face. Thanks

Excited to try the watch part

But why does the app play music? Additionally, it uses the system volume level so silencing it turns down everything else too.

Best Nightscout client app
Fido an

Definitely the best client app for nightscout. However, since the latest major Apple Watch update the Watch app has been inconsistent. It almost never shows up to date values anymore. Before it was just the chart that was off. Now it is the glucose value that is stale.

Great app to use w/ Spike and Apple Watch
tsunamit54

App enables a complication on Apple Watch so you do not have to use Calendar app for BG readings when using Spike. Nice graphics and tracking on iPhone as well.

Nice app but
helptoo

This is a nice app but I can not fix the time. Showing 20:00 instead of 8PMi would love this to be on my new Apple Watch face when it comes but I can’t fix the time. Military time.
