Can’t even load it. Just crashes when I open it.

Slowest App Ever

When I go into the app, it feels like I'm turning on a computer in 1990. It's that slow

Haven’t been able to load the app since the last update. Thought at first it was my home internet being junky so I turned that off and tried to run off cellular data but it still will not load. All of my other apps are running fine. Not sure if this is just me or if there is a problem in the app.

The app layout and everything is fine, the the biggest problem is the fact that it randomly freezes when trying to look at individual games, if this is fixed the app would be fine.

- Choppy feed casting to a tv - Controls for skipping around when watching a delayed game are almost impossible to use. - When given the option to watch ‘live’ or from ‘game start’ it seems both options take you to live gameplay. - Blackouts for NHL Network and NBCSN games are a joke.

Wayyyyyyy too many ads. Do they really need to be on every video of every goal? Like, it can’t be every 4th video you watch you get a commercial? I watch 1 or 2 goals a night and say screw it I’ll find the footage on Twitter if I really wanna see it. Simply too many ads. I’ve stopped using the app bc of it.

Very slow, if it even loads

Been using the NHL app for years, and I have to say it’s been getting worse with every update. It’s painfully slow, if it loads at all - because more often than not, it doesn’t. I have the latest iPhone, a great cellular and WiFi network, and no problems with any other streaming apps (like NBCSports, Netflix, etc.). The only reason I give it two-stars is because the push alerts for the game works well enough - but could get those from other apps like TheScore, so until they fix the loading problems, there is limited value in using this app.

The app is terrible. It crashes and pixels regardless how good the connection is. The game quality and officiating this season is pathetic. I cancelled my subscription after 25 years of being a fan. Do yourself a favor and just watch college or junior hockey.

11/2/17 another example of NHLs bait and switch and once again an arbitrary late decision to blackout a west coast game the only game worth watch tonight. If you buy this app you get crap so stay away! This App punishes a hockey fan who is not Cable or Satellite subscribers and gives you no other options to watch games. Hey I'm willing to pay to watch my game of choice each night. Not surprised since the league has a history of provincial and small minded business decisions. Also if you live in the NY area you are doubly restricted from most games each night. Do yourself a favor and look to the other major league sports. It will take another generation for there to be a chance for the current business model to be broken up and changed. By then the 40+ year old execs will be replaced by their children.
