Spetacular game!

Flawless tactical game in two players. With high replayability. Impressive.

Okay

I like board game so I thought this would be fun. They have a bug that does not score the points correctly.

Freezes

I’ve tried three times to play and the game has frozen every time before getting past the first few rounds. Seems to occur when looking at info about the cards. Having never played the game before, looking at what the cards actually do is essential to playing the game. I’ll also say that the interface is unintuitive and the tutorial is minimal. I can’t rate how fun or interesting the game might actually be because I can’t actually play it!

Good game

When I picked up this game I didn’t think I would like it. I can confidently say a week later that it may have been the best five bucks I’ve ever spent. I think one thing that could make this game better is more free to play factions.

I wish I had my money back

This is a terrible game boring slow and dumb

Fantastic game. Latest Graphic update a good step towards the original.

Dude named Ben

I have owned this game for many years it. I play several games a day and have purchased a number of add ons. The artist lost their way for a while but a recent update has thrown away the insipid tiles of the past 2 years and moved closer to the original releases which were top notch. I hope they eventually allow the option to select both the tile sets used and the game board as the original was simply inspired. The current set is quite good but the earliest board and tile set gives the game a great apocalyptic mad max feel that the later 2 iterations have not quite captured. The Ai us sometimes a bit stupid. Looks like it was never tweaked to correct issues. Eg the Sharrash Ai almost never uses one of its best pieces, “the hole” which is a must use pice whenever I am playing that race. Another issue is that sometimes the Ai draws 2 fight tiles and an attacker, and instead of putting the attacker down it will discard it and use one of the attack initiations when the obvious thing to do would be to deploy an attacker and then initiate combat. Or maybe it draws 2 attacks and a movement tile and it won’t use the movement to avoid getting smashed in the attack its about to initiate. Other things it does is certain races have a race they are hard wired to attack, even though it would be far wiser to attack another race so it can win. Really bizarre really.

Fantastic game. Horrible Graphic “Update”. Workaround to restore the good graphics described below.

Dude named Ben

I have owned this game for years it seems. I play several games a day and once I discovered that I could REVERSE the awful graphics update and because I could I ended up buying all of the additional armies up to that time and they all appeared in the older classic look. All of the new armies are great and add unique game play options except maybe the Dancer which seems to be the army that even the Ai hates above all others. It is the favoured “Gang up on and KILL!” army. Mississippi and Sharrash are especially fun. With regard to the problem of the “graphic update”. It really destroyed my enjoyment…it was a gut level turn off which I have never experienced in a game before. I stopped playing it completely as the look is now insipid, and I feel sorry for all of the new players who have no option other than to use it. The developers should have given the OPTION to change to the more modern tile set, instead of foisting it on us. It has been investigated by various people and there is NO legal reason that they had to change the tiles. They just did it and the game is much worse for it. I got the old board and tiles back but only because I had a time machine back up with the old version in it as well as an earlier iTunes version which enables you to install apps from your Mac. Sadly the newer iTunes no longer do this but there is still a very well hidden page on the Apple web site that enables you to get the last version of iTunes that supports managing your iOS devices from your computer. So I deleted the game off my iPad, and replaced the app from my back up. Then I reinstalled the game again from the iTunes app and I had the game back as it should be, and went back to playing it many times a wee. I then discovered I can buy the armies without updating the game to the horrible graphics so I ended up BUYING THEM ALL. If the designers are reading this should wake you up…the redesign has cost you goodwill by the games fans and also likely money in add on sales. I hope they update it so you can opt for the older tiles, and then start improving the Ai. Btw the latest army, Uranusoids or something, is not available if you stick to the old graphics. I have emailed the developers asking to give us the option for either tile set in a future release as I will definitely buy new armies on the sole condition I can retain the old graphic style look to the game.

Great, but...

Really fun game. I wish I could connect and play wth my partner. The internet game doesn’t seem to work for us.

Outstanding, with new graphics

Graphite Tiger

This strategy warfare game is an outstanding example of a near perfect iOS game! The new version of this excellent game brings updated visuals that have lost the sheer graphic punch they had, but overall they are more refined. A very fun and interesting game with almost infinite replay value. Buy all the armies you can possibly afford (I bought all of them) for a lot more fun, added replay options and varied gameplay mechanics.

A solid and fun adaptation of the Board game

Vtyjdyjtdujyfuykyf

This is an excellent port of the original. Initial purchase comes with the 4 classic armies but there are 10 DLC factions available for purchase. The AI computer is a good opponent and has a solid tactical grasp for the armies (mostly, its a little poorer with factions that require a little more tactical nuance, but is overall very good). It should be noted however that the art from the pictures is the 2nd edition art but the art is 3rd edition in the game. It doesn’t change anything gameplay wise, but the art is different (better in my opinion). Definitely a good purchase for current neuroshima fans and for fans of tactical hex games.
