Hmm

Wilken Rite

Even though this is a somewhat fresh approach to most games out there, I think it falls short in a lot of ways. There is way too much unnecessary dialogue versus game play. I found myself rushing through most of it because its starts to get boring after a while. Then when you actually play/discover/decision-make.. its only for a short time before you’re back into going through long dragged out character interactions. Also, upon playing the game.. maneuvering controls is tricky due its sensitivity. Had high hopes getting into this because I was drawn to the dark concept of the game but sadly disappointed. Hopefully they can improve on it in the future.

Mediocre VN

ageofthoughts

I could write a long winded explanation for why this RWBY tier VN is both enjoyable and often frustrating, but instead I’ll just say 2/5 maybe 3/5 for the steamed hams reference.

Not really much of a game. Mostly reading of 2pt text.

Squareman

So much tapping. So much dialogue. The fun part was searching for things, but that’s about 10% of the time spent in this game. The rest of it is reading a short line of dialogue. Tap. A little more dialogue. Tap. A little more. Tap. Tap. Tap tap tap tap tap tap tap, I stopped reading! I got about 80% through the game I just couldn’t take it anymore. The story was interesting on the surface but it just bogs down in tap tap tapping to read little tiny bits of story at a time. And it’s a LOT of story between actual game play and puzzle solving. Also, speaking of reading, much of the text is PAINFULLY (literally gave me headaches) small on an iPhone XS screen, even though I put on my readers to magnify. The game controls when you could explore are crazy touchy, there is no modulation to them at all. Sorry guys, this looked promising, but it’s pointless in the end. Oh one final and important gripe: It chews through battery as it cooks the processor on my iPhone XS. It was hot to the touch on the back of the phone through a Mous case! I had to play the game while plugged in a lot just to avoid low-battery prompts.

Great Story

Whoisisaidthefly

This is a great visual novel. While it does have some parts to control to walk around the cafe, they are a bit Janky? But in enthralled by the story, and you will be too.

Not a game

boomertnt101

This “Game” is more dialogue and not actually much gameplay and more of a novel mixed with a cartoon and really was not what I was expecting and I wasn’t that big into it because it got pretty boring quickly

The game is a t(r)ap

eddiecoyote

I’m on deployment and have lots of time to give to this. But I couldn’t keep with it. It isn’t a game. It is a story. And with that the game part is to tap after little piece of text. Take anything Tap And out some dialogue there Tap And maybe some space like this ... to show thinking Tap And begin a new paragraph Tap Or end a thought Tap. It becomes so tedious that I quit reading the story as I wanted it to go by faster. Hard to get immersed into it when I must tap after every comma Put it his way. Watch this standing up and whenever you tap, do one air squat. You’ll pass out before long. Hopefully someone does a play through of this and records it and puts it on the internet. This is too tedious.

Good VN

Wish I got some barista gameplay, but VNs are pretty cool.

Beautiful graphics and story but is not a true game

Not a game but more of a type of story and I enjoyed every point of it. I feel it should as a movie / series. Please don’t hate on this for not being a game when it’s marketed or advertises as a game. While Apple Arcade is made for games it’s more an interactive cinematic.

PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE PLAYING THE GAME!

Other comments don’t really go in depth on game as a whole, so here’s that one comment. Some other comments complain about it not being a game. That is partially true, but this was meant to be a visual novel, not a full fledged game. For those who do not know how Visual Novels operate, YOU HAVE TO TAP THE SCREEN TO PROCEED THROUGH THE STORY. That is a big majority of the game. There is no auto mode, so if you aren’t into tapping the screen constantly this game is NOT for you. The images are static 3D models, with occasional body and camera movement. There are bits within pauses of the chapters where you can control yourself/the camera and explore the Terminal, but that’s as much control you will get. At the beginning you’ll be a bit confused(I know I was), as they don’t directly explain that you have to go to illuminated objects and actually tap them to continue the story. It’s not hard to find them, because there is a recognizable noise to identify these objects. Please keep in mind that this was made by an Australian company, so all the main characters are Australian. They use their native slang, in which some instances are explained and others are not. At the end of each chapter you make decisions. PLEASE DON’T THINK TO HARD ON THEM. THEY WILL NOT AFFECT THE STORY IN ANY WAY. They are just for extra enjoyable moments scattered around within the storyline. The story is quite enjoyable and will keep you intrigued most of the way. It has lovable characters that you will understand and feel for. A gorgeous score that really gives the scenes ambiance. Although the story is quite short, I hope you will find it as enjoyable as I did! Wonderful game! ~Sincerely, a teen who cares too much.

It’s like a visual novel

THIS IS ABSOLUTELY an amazing game, there is a lot of story but I promise you’ll get hooked I loved it and it is a little slow at the start (getting used to the storyline/characters etc) but you will love this game guaranteed!!
