Bye bye NBCNews. If you won’t let me feed your advertising numbers without requiring my location or your annoying push notifications, you are history and have been removed from all my devices. Shame on you. Too bad as for years you were one of my most visited apps. Not anymore.

I don't want to be required to accept tailored news. I don't want to be required to enter my zip. I don't want friggin videos to auto spew their bull. I deleted this piece of crap!

This used to be one of my favorite news apps. Now it bugs me for multiple swipes and permissions every time I open it. No longer worth the prelims.

While NBC has been one of my go to news sources for many years (think Chet Huntley and & David Brinkley) I will not use any product that requires notifications be enabled in order to use it. The last thing I need is another voice screaming for attention 24/7. App deleted.
Why Can’t The App Stay Put?

The app keeps jumping down in stories whenever I return from reading. All other news apps let me continue from where I left off. For example… story one, two, three etc. NBC News keeps changing??? AND… NBC used to be my favorite place for honest reporting. I believe the honesty to still be there. Please keep the news moving fluently.

November 16, 2021 You are getting closer. It now seems to block me from going forward afterI enter a zip code (99685) which is a valid zip code. As with the Google Home app, I feel that my location is not something I care to provide & the location I chose is unlikely have much local news (I am more interested in national & world events.) November 05, 2021 Developers need to understand that adding restrictions on how people must configure their devices that do not have a technical merit will cause people to delete the offending apps from their devices. As the app worked fine without having notifications enabled for several years, I find it hard to believe there was a technical reason for additional requirement that Notifications be enabled before people are allowed to open the app. As with the Google Home app before it, it has been deleted from my devices for adding an onerous requirement that does not have a technical justification. Another annoyance is the “support link” provided by the developer of the app brings up a page that is nothing more than advertising for this app.
Glitches Are Worsening (Apple TV)

Ever since the update at end of last year (2020), video segments rarely play to end and are often frustratingly edited. Halfway through a Today or MSNBC segment the playback suddenly skips to entirely different show or goes to live stream program. Also, the “Oops, can’t play back that video” error message has also become more of an issue. I’ve seen this complaint on Twitter regarding your playbacks. Please, please resolve this issue!!!!

This app has had the broken widgets since April of 2021. I’ve even downloaded all the new apps and for my new 13 Pro and the widgets still have not updated since April. Particularly “This week in photos”! So I have a revolving stack that just keeps showing the same thing since April 2021! It’s the same 10 images and the widget is called “This Week in photos” so it supposed to update weekly, but nope! Still seeing the same photos all summer, fall, and looks like it’s going to winter! Please fix! This is super annoying! I want them to change so bad, but the only option is to remove the widget from my phone or unless the app. I’m gonna do both if it isn’t fixed because NBC should have it where when you click on developer options, or report, it goes directly to an online form to report the problem. It cannot be fixed if we cannot report it. So I gave it one star, hoping someone will just happen to see this review, because there is no way to report this information to the developers!
