They LOCKED my account

ƒ(x)

While trying to make a few changes through the app, the app went a bit haywire and had trouble responding. So it appeared as if I someone was messing around I guess. I wasn’t changing anything big like my address or anything, just whether a couple of domains would auto-renew (which it still didn’t get right). I kept trying to switch off and it would switch on or appeared so, but it kept going back and forth. I figured it would have to wait until I get to a computer. Today I got an email that they flagged my account for fraud and I have to send in a government issue ID and my phone number for them to call me. If the app was flawless as well as if it was something big like changing my password I would happily oblige. But the app is faulty and it feels like I’m the one being reprimanded for it. DON’T USE THE APP!!!

Login doesn't work

Can't login as there is no place to enter SMS code 1Password integration is broken

Longtime customer

It saddens me to write this as I’ve been a Namecheap customer since it was quite literally just one guy in a bedroom (that’s a lot of years ago). Anyway, straight to the point, the app is total crap. It’s a super frustrating experience that once you login it doesn’t keep you logged in. This wouldn’t be too bad but the 2FA never actually works and the captcha process is painful. A lot of UI issues too, at this point, since it’s apparently been years they’ve had this shoddy login experience unfixed, retire the app and send the young lad who coded it back to whatever 6-week code boot camp he came from. Using the website on mobile shouldn’t be easier, it is. App fail.

Best domain registrar

This app has all the essentials. Everything you need when it comes to domains. Quick checkout via Apple Pay.

Their 2FA is terrible

Look up Sixth Cycle

Activating their 2FA got me locked out of my account. I should have stayed with SMS 2FA which always worked fine. Now I’m still waiting for support to let me in to my account.

Not a complete App

MS_Genius

I deleted it within 20 minutes. It do offer a view of your domains. I was able to buy a domain but not the hosting. It’s an app with very limited capabilities. Namecheap could do a lot better if they want to

App not working

Darlingtyno

I tried searching for a domain to buy but it keeps saying loading and nothing comes out

Completely broken

Dawnerd

Checkout doesn’t work and 2fa says I need a phone number (which I already have).

I don’t review many apps, but I felt compelled to with this one!

First off, thank you for having Apple Pay as a payment option! I have never been able to renew one of my domains so quickly and effortlessly! It took me about a minute to find the app on the App Store, install it, login, see my expiring domain, and pay for the renewal. It typically takes me 5 minutes or more to do the same via the web site and paying using PayPal. I may never use the web site again to renew one of my domains. I haven’t checked out the other features, but for someone who is just maintaining their list of long term domains, this was a treat.

Please fix this app

Stefpdt

I constantly have to restart my iPhone in order to approve my 2FA requests. PLEASE fix this already. NameCheap is such a great company but this is a pretty terrible app.
