Bridge?

The blinds open and close as scheduled most of the time. The “sun tracking” feature that’s supposed to adjust for sunrise/sunset doesn’t work. At all. Neither does the energy savings feature. Their bridges will not to connect to WiFi so DO NOT buy one.


Doesn’t save you set up

The app has you log into your account but if you ever log out of that account in the app, your whole house set up is gone. Log back in to the same account and you’ll still have to set up everything from scratch. Also, it seemed to stop adding new rooms to the bridges config. Tried resetting the bridge and now the app can’t proceed beyond the WiFi set up for the bridge, no error and the UI is responding but it won’t go to the next setup screen.

Not always perfect but I have not had any serious issues like some of the reviews. I own 9 of them and the hub. I am happy with them. They are definitely the best and maybe only deal for retrofitting existing blinds with automation.


Absolutely worthless app

This is the most garbage app I’ve ever used. I am constantly logged out for no reason and the programmed schedule is completely wiped out so must be manually reprogrammed. Once the company sells you the blinds you’re pretty much on your own.


So much better on iPhone

Always had an android, and this app was terribad. The Bluetooth was delivered a sketchy performance at best and the profiles never saved to the blinds even though it appeared in the app. I switched over to iPhone last week, and I must say that it's a day and night comparison. Everything here works so much better. I don't need a beautiful app because I use alexa to control the blinds anyway. I just need something that works reliably, and thankfully the iPhone delivers. For those complaining, try the android version first... You'll never complain again


What happened to Apple Watch app??

Calibration does not work anymore

The new app update and/or firmware update is an utter failure. The calibration does not work after adding a new blinds. Do you guys do basic testing before a release. It was working fine on the iPhone till the recent update. Such shoddy work! I’m sure my review will be met with a generic, nonsensical, inconsequential and incompetent reply from the MySmartBlinds team.

I have over 10 blinds in over 5 rooms. With the last release all my rooms and blinds are gone from the app. When I attempt to add a room and click Next and Finish, the room screen remains blank. At this point in the app everything is blank, I have no rooms or blinds listed in the app. At the moment most of my blinds are working off the old schedule/memory. I have lost all scheduling control and I don’t have any blinds displayed in the app. I attempted to reset 2, but when adding the blind, the app states 1 founds but just has a spinning circle and never adds, that’s in addition to not displaying the room. I have over 10 blinds and everything WAS working well, until this update. I even had to reset my password to stop the app from crashing. I’m at a loss. ? 3/28/19 Update: Updating from 1 star to 4 stars Reason: Although yesterday I had no rooms or blinds listed on the app and I attempted to add room to no avail, late in the evening everything reappeared. All the rooms I attempted to add also appeared, so instead of my original 5 rooms, I had 20. I deleted the duplicate rooms with no blinds and reprogrammed 2 blinds. This morning all is working. Must be an issue where the app doesn’t display any blinds or rooms but they still exist somewhere. If this happens to you, don’t do anything, just wait for everything to come back.

There are some issues, but overall, it’s a good product. The latest firmware update (2.2.1) is the worst yet. Since the update, my blinds consistently perform poorly. Some don’t open at all. Sometimes when they do open, they don’t open fully. I have to control them from the app to manually open them - which they respond to just fine, so why didn’t they open on their own based on the schedule? I’ve owned my blinds for over 2 years now and sun tracking has NEVER worked. Please fix the issues introduced with 2.1. I’ve even re-programmed my blinds and the same issues persist. This latest update is defective based on my experience. It has the potential to be a 5-star product, but address the bugs.
