Battery hog, no feedback-not sure it is worth the hassle

G_ChipT

I decided to participate in the study behind this app because of the history of heart issues in my family. In the 2 weeks since I downloaded this app it has been the leading consumer of battery by quite a large amount. The sad thing is I don’t allow it to access my location services on the phone (I have an Apple Watch) and it still is a power hog. I have no idea how to limit its “Background activities”. I also find that the heart related activities provide no feedback. You are asked to answer the same questions daily. I can handle it for a week but I have no idea how long it lasts. The “activity” that is supposed to summarize what the app has measured or pulled from measurements males no sense to me and doesn’t match what I get from my watch or phone. So assuming this is really doing something worthwhile be patient and don’t expect to get much out of it. I’m afraid I am not going to keep it on my phone very much longer if it kills my battery since I get very little out of it.

Battery hog

Schuess60

This app consumes my battery at an alarming rate. I gave it a try under iOS 10 and now 11 with the same results. It also doesn’t seem to receive my Apple Watch data consistently. Uninstalling for a second time.

Burns battery

usnhobbz

Used 64% of my battery with 8 minutes on screen and 8.9 hours “audio, background” according to Settings->Battery usage stats. Given that there’s no reason for this app to have audio I’m going to guess that they’re tricking iOS into thinking audio is playing in order to keep the app open and active. Very bad design.

Killing battery , activity % do not match up

CrusinClassic

The battery life has gotten much worse under iOS 10. Why is this app using over 25% of my power in 15 hours just running in the back ground? Why from one day to the next walking about he same number of steps is the percentage of activity so different? One day 23% shows and the next day almost the same number of step it shows 12%... May have to leave the program because of the battery issue..

Data for the good guys

It’s easy to use and could provide data to allow improvement in healthcare. Knowledge is power to make changes. Everyone should help. It’s easy !

Still hasn’t improved

You should be able to edit activity & heart rate etc. The app doesn’t recognize any of my activity & doesn’t allow editing. I have no idea how they plan to get an accurate study when the app doesn’t collect the necessary data.

HUGE battery drain

Since the last update, this app has been HAMMERING the battery. I turned off background refresh permissions, and am waiting to see if that makes a difference. If it does, I won’t leave the app, and consequently the study. If not, then I will. It’s really unfortunate that the quality of this app is so poor.

Battery killer

jzimdars

Altruistically I want very much to participate in this study but after trying it a second time I deleted it again. iOS reported this app had used over 60% off my battery life over the past 24 hour and 7 days. That’s just not acceptable. Sorry.

Will not carry over information to a new iPhone.

Super battery hog. This app, if left open, will eat your battery horribly fast. I would hope that participation in the study would not end just because I buy a new iPhone but the data doesn’t carry over via iCloud. All that info is just gone and that doesn’t make any sense. It happened a couple of months ago on a 7 Plus when I had to do a reset. That’s not good.

Severe battery drain

***Severe*** battery drain for background activity & audio.
