Wait what?

You have to be a computer programmer to even begin this! Way to involved and way too many links for reading and signing up for new things. I want numbers and 1 click info! No thanks! Deleted the app in 2 days.

Not user friendly

gelluuu

Trying to update nutrition distribution and every time it reset to default 50/30/20, the way how it show formula on top of the dashboard is irrelevant, it has to take in account actual calories burned minus calories eaten minus/plus margin which depends on goal, instead it use some static value pike 2700 calories adds up calories from exercise ( in my case 1200 calories) and minus food, so according to that formula I have to eat about 4k calories just to sustain weight, this is ridiculous.

Easy to use, extremely helpful, motivating

Sammi RC

EXTREMELY helpful and easy. Easy to keep up with with the reminders and barcode scanner (that actually works). It also lets you build your own recipes, which makes meal prep significantly easier. All I had to do was scan the barcode of the ingredients I was using (or enter the name for spices) and how much of it and it calculated the entire recipe for me. It even has restaurant menus, so you can still go out to dinner and calculate! Love this app 20/10.

Need an app that can be purchased that does not have ads. Not interested in subscription service. Otherwise, app is fine.

Pretty good but not perfect

energykikrr

Great way to track your calorie intake and macros, the weight prediction feature is borderline comical, it told me if I eat 3600 calories in a day at 200lb body weight I would lose 10 pounds in 5 weeks, I have gained 12 lbs since on the diet it suggested (which is in line with my goals because I am bulking) I pretty much knew that amount of calories was a surplus for me and I would more than likely be putting on pounds.. but for someone who might not already have knowledge on calorie surpluses/ deficits, this feature could really point you in the wrong direction. I would definitely advise you to do your own research, set your own calorie goals and just use the app as a macro calculator/ weight tracker only

Could be better

MFP is usually the “gold standard” calorie tracking app, but it’s just not good enough. If you don’t pay, your main screen is plastered with ads and useless stories. 10% of the screen is useful information you need and the rest is sponsored content. Also, it’s just not easy to figure out how to change foods weight over to grams without making a custom entry for them. And I still get hundreds of spam emails a month because this apps security was breached and hackers stole everyone’s data. Just use LoseIt. It’s the same thing but with zero intrusive ads. And their premium is way cheaper.

Data breach

Fade2blk

Found out recently there was a data breach from this app. My email was leaked. This breach occurred February 2018. Yes I know it’s been a long time, but I just found out. Just be careful.

Great app, but WAY overpriced for premium features

Atfsghfm

This app is simple and a great way to track calories for those wanting to adhere to a set diet. To get nutrient tracking and other insights, you need to subscribe to a premium membership. I have no problem paying for additional functionality for good apps that I use on a regular basis, but the pricing is outrageous given the developers have priced this similar (or more if you pay monthly!) to something like Adobe Photoshop/Lightroom. The later software is 10 times the complexity and feature set compared to a simple food tracking app, so not sure why My Fitness Pal is opting for this approach rather than something more in-line with the value of the app. So rather than getting $10-20 from me, I am cancelling and they will get zero.

One request

I really love the app my only request is that it helps track all of the rda of vitamins and minerals, not just the top few. I would gladly pay a yearly subscription if all vitamins and minerals were included in the tracker.

It’s Not Worth It

This app has led to me struggling with an eating disorder for nearly 10 years.
