Near Perfect! Best App for your Movie Collection!

I have an extremely large (>1500) Blu-Ray/DVD collection and for years used the iCollect Movies app to keep track of everything. That app was fine, but after the last iOS update stopped working completely (I'm guessing they stopped updating it). I did a little research and this one had the best reviews so I decided to try the free version. It is way, way better than the previous app I used. All of the things that used to drive me crazy are not an issue here. It has a much better interface and is much easier to add/edit the titles. Also, it allows for many more variables when cataloging your collection. I don’t know if this app was available 8-9 years ago, but if it was I made the wrong choice. There were only a handful of negative reviews for the free and paid versions, so I read through them. Some bring up valid points (most are just nonsense), but these are all fairly minor issues in the context of this huge, great app. I did buy the full app (for some reason the App Store won’t let me write a review for it) and it’s worth every penny. I saw several negative reviews about having to pay recently for a upgraded version. I think it’s very reasonable to pay for an upgrade every few years, as the amount of work that goes into this app must extensive. I don’t know how else you expect the people that make it to be paid for their work, unless they started using adds (I would prefer to pay a little extra to avoid adds). If you have a large movie collection, this app is a no-brainer. If there is a better one out there, I’d really like to see it.

why pay when just go on your computer and make your own it’s really Tex that you need !!!! the cover box artwork just eats up data and stars names all so and to even pay to login that’s a joke. I will give this 1 star just to do this review. I keep my list on my phone and download it to the phone as PDFs easy and fast and you don’t need to pay for it and it’s free forever and not only that I can add if I need too

If you own a ton of movies... Do yourself a favor, pay the $7.99! The multi scan option is fantastic! I had no trouble scanning in my over 800 movies. Now I can keep track of all of them. The app will also email a PDF of your movies to you organized any way you like them!

I would rate this app 5 stars easy, but having bought the app once and spending hours putting my collection into it all of a sudden now I have to buy the app a second time just because you decided to make a new version and take advantage of the fact that the old version is no longer being supported, not a fan. I don't appreciate being jerked around and taken advantage of. You say that you never promised free updates, but you took my money twice, once for iPhone and once for iPad. Which neither of those versions I paid for work with the current ios. How convenient, now if I want to use the software that I paid for I have to pay you $8 more. What's next, the next time apple updates their software I'll have to pay $10 for access to software that I already paid for? Buyer beware, it's $8 now, but if you plan to use this software for your large disc collection you'll have to fork over more money in a few years, then more money a few years after that. I’m not looking for 25 years of free updates, maybe just one so that my old software that I purchased can be used on the devices that I have. I’m sorry but you are full of excuses as to why you’re greedily ripping off everyone who bought your app and supported you in the past

This is by far the best app I have found to catalog my 1300 dvds. I can quickly find movies I’m looking for. It’s so easy to scan movies into the database.

Yeah I think I’ll just move on to someone else.

I’m this age where you can even create your own app. A developer who does not stand by their app and try and look for money in other ways than forcing their own customers to pay them again for the same thing. My recommendation is for people to move on.
