It's fine but..

This app is interesting and all, but here is a list of things that should be changed- 1. Gems. The ponies cost WAY to much. I mean, Spike caused about 1000 gems!! I mean, seriously!? It might even take about 4 months! If not, more! PLEASE lower the prices! 2. Why can't we unlock the elements of harmony easily? Like, about 30 or 20 shards? I can't even unlock KINDNESS shards, and it's the second one! And Fluttershy is my favorite, so...??? 3. Why can we only go to Canterlot, Sweet Apple Anchors, and the Everfree Forest? (Ponyville doesn't count) I mean, The Crystal Empire is one of the best locations in Ponyville!! Please fix these problems and I'll be just fine. PS- can there be a thing when princess Luna has a little story when you unlock her? Like in the beginning of the game? If so, PLEASE add it!

Cute, but holy God, the cost

I was a huge fan of the original MLP when I was a child. Now as a thirty-something female who needs something silly to wind down with before sleep, I couldn't resist this app. The cute is on overload. The graphics are adorable, and having watched the "bronies" documentary with fascination, I finally get their fascination. There is something irresistible about the cute ponies and their cheerful attitudes. Optimism knows no bounds. The game has plenty of quests, allows the player to interact with the ponies in fun ways, and offers a lot of engagement for younger and older players. The voice acting and music is a blast, and the general world building is surprisingly extensive for a game that isn't really a "Sims" take-off—the focus is the games and story bits. Why two stars? The first, most important reason is the cost. I'm a gamer. Have been for many years. It's not unusual for me to spend money in game for gear or character appearance-altering items. But I've never seen a game that's this expensive—not even in MMORPGs. This is crazy. This is a game that is designed for a very young audience. The basic layout and nudging along shows that. Yet the packages for gems and "bits" are so extraordinarily expensive, I have to wonder if it was really designed for the wealthy. A hundred dollars for a pack of gems? Just to give you an idea...some of the ponies you can buy in game are 4-500 gems (or more). A crate of 415 gems $29.99. And gems are used in everything if you want to revive your pony in a game or want to speed up a 2-3 (or more) hour building process on a building. There's a package for 1680 gems for $99.99. That's insane. That's maybe 6 virtual ponies in a game? Not to mention, this is for *small children.* Sure, it's fun for adults, but kids have no concept of money and expense. Beyond the fact that this is an insane cost, it's cruel to little kids and their parents who have to say no. My second issue is the bizarre games—some are super cute and easy to play. But the difficulty isn't consistent at all. Plus, you have to pay to play almost all of them. You pay with in-game bits (which you can also purchase for a crazy price, like the gems), and those bits go fast. So while the telescope game is super easy, the mine game is incredibly hard, especially when one of your quests requires you to last for quite a long time in the game. And you get one life—it costs precious gems to revive where you are and not lose your progress. It's such a shame. This is a sweet, fun game that has a lot of potential. But the creator's greed and lack of concern for those supplying the funds for those in-game costs ruins much of the joy. As an adult, I can temper my amusement and strategize...but I shouldn't have to. They could easily charge up front or offer a low cost in game option that would encourage game play and allow all players to enjoy their favorite characters. Instead, it offers maybe 5 or so minutes of entertainment before you have to pay to do much else. Very disappointing.

Cost to much

countryprincess0123

I love this game but it costs way to much is there anyway you can fix this like lowering the cost of jems an bits its hard to collect enough to buy anything. an mabe add more to the game like the other locations

Really? REALLY?!?

I definitely agree with people that these prices are ludicrous! And I am on level 38 and I have only unlocked 2 harmony stones and I only have two of the mane six, INCLUDING twilight, who you get for free. And canterlot? I only have THREE ponies from Canterlot and those were the ones I won from the crystal mine for free! I can't afford any others! I'm not saying "Don't get the game", I'm saying, don't waste your money on in-app purchases. Beside the prices, the app itself is GREAT!

I love this game, here comes the dreaded but

Baily rusher

I love this game, but I have to agree with nearly everyone, the prices are just too much and it take forever to get things done and collect ponies. To get ponies, you have to have a lot of gems, and to get a lot of gems you have to pay money... Like, I know there are a lot of older people you are trying to appeal to but you need to remember the other half of your demographic... Children. All I'm saying is lowering the prices would be good.

Suggested Improvements

This game needs a back up cloud storage system and the ability to create your own user name. Need to make acquiring gems easier when making so many items gem spending required.
