This app still doesn’t support Pro iPads which is not good considering what this is, a magazine reading app. It is full of bugs, has some really bad UI (clearly not written by someone who has read the Apple Human Interface Guidelines) and is buggy too. I know a lot of digital magazines use the same toolkit, which is a real shame since those toolkits are very poor quality.
The resolution of the purchased issues is so low that I literally cannot read the thing- the pixels are larger than he actual letters of text. Plus, its super slow and always thinks I'm trying to buy something each time I open or close it. Worst app I've use yet.
The iPad version of this app works great! However, on the iPhone, this app looks like it wasn't even designed with pre-Retina Display iPhones. The rendering quality is so poor that I can't read a thing. Aside from that, there also seems to be an issue with registering an account right now (tells me to check my Internet connection as I'm downloading my free issue without a problem), which makes it difficult to invest in any more issues because I don't know if they'll be restorable purchases. All in all, the app has potential, but has to address some fundamental problems first. The magazine, however, is Grade-A information. If you have an iPad, get it for the "free" issue (you pay for the app, right?); get more after they fix the app.
Every screen of the app behaves erratically, dialogs get stuck on the screen, pages won't render. I could go on and on. Seems to be the same with all of the magazines from this publisher I've tested. Please get your act together and fix this!
When the app works well and the magazine looks super on the iPad. Right now, the magazines are black and don't show up. I downloaded the app to get the Native Instruments issue of Music Tech. There isn't much N.I. literature out there. It seemed like 70% of the magazine was simply describing the product, which is fairly useless for people who already own it. I didn't want a brochure, I wanted tips, suggestions and tutorials. I would imagine that most people buying the mag own a version of the product already and don't need sub-beginner explanations of what it does. The Masterclass magazines from Music Tech are much better. Although there are millions of ads, there is more content and useful suggestions.
Never really noticed a resolution problem on iPhone 4, maybe my eyesight is just bad, but ever since I updated I can't read the issues I bought. It just comes up on a black screen. This really needs to be fixed ASAP
I just purchased 5 old issue bundle and the magazine just crashed. Now it doesn't even open up. Should've read the reviews... come on fix this crash issue. Even tried reinstalling the magazine.
This is getting so bad. Give me my $20 back or fix this!!!! This is really poor service!
