I LOVE it

rcofdc

I have all my songs with me without having to carry a stack of books.

Wonderful app

JRivera

Easy to use and love that you can transpose keys anytime!

My Favorite App

Big Orange 77

I love this app. Just about any song I need is easily accessible and reasonably priced. I ask for Musicnotes $ for birthdays and Christmas. Yay Musicnotes! Keep up the great work!

Deceptively expensive

Motsumi

The app represents itself as free. But it doesn’t take long to realize this is a paid service. And while this service might be worth money to a certain market, it shouldn’t put the rest of us through an obnoxious process of installing and exploring just to find out it’s useless without money. Be transparent and make the first sentence of your description about the fee-based service required for using the app. Thanks for wasting my time. Now, I don’t like you.

Newest IOS Update 11.0.3 CRASHES APP FATAL ERROR

Bsyeild1968

We use this app EVERY WEEK for our worship ministry. And our iPad updated to the newest IOS (11.0.3) update this week and the app no longer works. When we launch it, the app immediately and repeatedly crashes. Please help! We have invested significant resources to use this tool. Thank you!

Way too restrictive!

Siege097

Not allowed to print sheet music that I bought for $10. Effective I can only use my iPhone to try to play something on the piano.

Won’t start upon last update

Elliebell370

I used to absolutely love this app— so much so that I scanned in all of my printed music and imported it into the app. Unfortunately, since the last update, I can’t access any of my music because the app crashes upon opening. Any advice is appreciated!

Bad update

not happy even for free

I’ve been an enthusiastic user and booster of this app for several years. Very pleased with the functionality of it until now. After the last update I can no longer add new files and get duplicates of current files, up to 9(!) copies. Tech support says they are “looking into it.” I’ve been using Acrobat as a back up for now and can’t recommend this app until they fix it

Stuck in the past

Musicnotes has a lot of potential. It’s been around for awhile which begs the questions.. 1) Why do I still have to connect to my Mac, open iTunes and click the add button to get scores into Musicnotes. Why are you supporting “Open in...”, and Share, which have been around for awhile now? If I’m composing in Notion iOS or Symphony Pro, and I need to mark up a PDF version of the score, I don’t have time to go to my Mac. What if I’m not at the same location as the Mac Pro that is machine my iPad is linked to? 2) Why do I HAVE to have an account to use Musicnotes? Again, if my main purpose for Musicnotes is to mark up PDF scores that I’ve created, why would I want to log in to a server that serves no purpose for me? Btw, the guest account doesn’t work for me. I click on guest, and there are no controls that actually allow me log in. What am I missing? Not supporting “Open in..” and forcing the user to create an account to use the program is outmoded. True, many users may share or get sheet music via an account. But why, in 2017 with iOS 11 is this a prerequisite for using the app? Not being able to use the app I’m not sure if it supports MusicXML or if it can play back imported MusicXML files, or if Musicnotes uses a proprietary file format, but if this app does import and playback MusicXML files, (or by some chance it’s actually playback PDF files via some vector to MIDI or XML converter, it would be a big shame that I can’t use “Open in...” and not have to create an account. I still haven’t found the perfect XML playback/PDF markup iOS app for my own scores which is too bad because it seems like the most obvious need that composers, music theory teachers and performers need.

Midi playback is great if it works.

On some songs the app refuses to play it or sometimes freezes and closes mid-play
