Version 3.1.0 is GLITCHY!
start2finish

I’ve been using Music Book for 6 or more years now, and I loved it until the 3 version numbers. And when I had trouble, the developer was extremely helpful in assisting. However, the 3.1.0 update is the worst yet and has made me turn to other apps for organizing my 1,000 plus songs (even with all the work that setting them up entails). The menus in Music Book have such a small, light font that they were barely readable anyway, but now they have annoying colored backgrounds which makes it almost impossible to read the song titles. I can no longer import songs via my email. Many of the options for import/export are gone. I can no longer edit my annotations, and they disappear up in the corner of the screen instead of staying where I place them. Please FIX! Bring back the simple effectiveness of your earlier versions.

This app is dead
Al707

The app crashes, won’t import, and the support link doesn’t exist. Apple should remove this from the App Store. You get nothing for your money.

Better than Music Pad Pro
Divajazz2010

I have used a Music Pad for over 8 years and this app does a better job and is easier to use. Not to mention the IPad weighs half is much and is 10 times more versatile. I especially like being able to organize my music into categories. The only thing would wish for is to be able to view music in landscape mode and eventually a Bluetooth foot pedal to turn pages.

GREAT APP
Douguitar

The programmer has now fixed all of the bugs and added some great enhancements to this new release. This App now does everything I need to perform live on stage with confidence that I will be able to see all of the music and lyrics when I need them. thanks for your attention to detail!

Fix
Jasbas

This app has glitches, and it takes some getting used to. It has tremendous potential. I love the idea.

Disappointing
L42 m

This app worked for me until the last update. Now it crashes and will not run at all. I've lost all the music I had in it.

Constantly crashes
Krangeloff

It constantly crashes when you try and open it. I have not even been able to open it to see what it looks like. A waste of money. I think you should either refund my money. Or get this app to work.

Just getting started. So far mostly good! [updated]

THIS APP IS THE ANSWER TO GETTING RID OF HAVING TO CARRY AROUND HEAVY UNWIELDY BINDERS OF LYRICS!!! It's why I bought my iPad in the first place!!! LOVE the ease of getting my songs uploaded into Music Book, and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE the index! However, I wish the index would disappear more quickly once I choose my song. It hides more than a fourth of the screen for a few seconds longer than is comfortable. Small price to pay for having the index in the first place, though! (Music Book has great visual instructions when you first open the app!). [UPDATE: The index is now a tiny icon that disappears out of the way until you tap the screen.] Other PDF readers I have tried have crashed on me after opening a few songs, but THIS ONE WORKED FOR HOURS WITHOUT ANY GLITCH! Zoom feature is a bit awkward and seems to have quite a lag time before you see the results of your pinch. I wish it would keep its orientation when zooming rather than twisting around. I'm getting the hang of how to do this, but it's very touchy--takes too much time for mid-gig! After the zoom is settled, though, the program remembers the way you had it, and that's how it comes up the next time you open it. I was intrigued by the ability to organize the music into volumes (i.e.: a book for each band I'm in, and set lists for each performance). I made one volume up and couldn't believe how easy it was (just double tap the song title and it places a check mark next to it to add it to the volume). However, at the end of adding all the songs, the program did NOT SAVE MY VOLUME NAME, and I have not been able to figure out how to do this. So far all my new volumes are titled: "New Volume" even though I typed in a volume name when I started. There does not appear to be any way to edit names of volumes or songs. I'm hoping it's operator error, and I'll be able to figure this out. [UPDATE: Volume name gets saved without issue. In addition, I've figured out how to change the order of songs within sets. AND the programmer is VERY RESPONSIVE to help with any issues I've had. I still LOVE THIS APP. 2017-10-29] OVERALL MUSIC BOOK IS A GREAT DEAL AND WELL WORTH THE MONEY! I AM VERY HAPPY WITH MY PURCHASE!!!!!!
