$40 down the drain

Indiatechie1

Device only connects when the app is opened. Uses iphone mic for listening. So if you keep phone in pocket, muse doesn't work. Streams over car bluetooth, sometimes alexa voice last few words are truncated. Not sure if these issues are even solvable by the product team. $40 down the drain. I am thinking of putting real alexa(echo dot) in car. Only one step, need to turn on wifi sharing after I enter car, but it may work flawlessly.

Really wanted this to work...

Crashes Can't Open

But it just doesn’t. I commute for about 2 hours a day. When I read about this, I thought it was an answer to all of my wishes for Alexa in the car! However, the logistics just don’t make it user friendly. The “connection” is never strong enough for it to work (unless connected to WiFi), the app has to be open and on the screen and it uses data. Unfortunately this means it’s a complete waste of money.

Where are the updates?

I’m still waiting for Spotify support. It was listed as a feature “coming soon” back when the device was on indiegogo.

Useless at the moment

Until it’s able to play Spotify and Apple Music, I don’t really have use for this. Not worth the silent car ride just to be able to speak to Alexa every once in a while. Also, integration with iOS podcasts app would be great. The podcast apps that it currently access don’t allow you to choose a specific episode, only the newest.
