Audio is terrible

I can use the same mic that sounds great with Filmic Pro, and sounds like garbage with this app. I've tried adjusting the audio levels and all the quality and compression settings but still sounds bad. I love the features, but quality is not there.

My iPhone 6s plus works just fine without this app. I only purchased it so that it'll work better with an external mic as suggested in a video I saw however, after extensive testing I discovered that an external mic doesn't even work with this app. It still uses the cells mic. Not happy at all and I'll be contacting Apple for a refund!
