Amazing for virtual races!!

I used Motigo today to (virtually) run the Cherry Blossom 10 Miler in DC. It was SO easy to use, and I had over 45 “cheers” for my race! Hearing voices from VA, DC, NJ, ME, and Germany made my run so much more inspired, and my friends and family were so happy to have a way to connect with me from a distance in these difficult times. HIGHLY recommend!

So I’m a huge fan of whoever is in charge here. They added my half marathon so quickly and we’re so on point with helping me. However the app crashed at mile 3. Being in a pandemic and not being able to run my first half marathon with a crowd was a bummer and I thought that this was going to be the saving grace. I would suggest a couple things: don’t make people register to cheer, I had a couple people just not figure it out who would have cheered me on. And please fix the whole crashing problem, I’ve seen this on a couple other posts. It might be because I was running different apps, but those didn’t crash and yours did. I was able to listen to all the cheers I missed after which was nice but it truly would have been better if the app didn’t crash. (Or if you can’t fix the crash problem please allow us to listen to the cheers we didn’t hear, not rehear the cheers from mile one when we start it over. Thanks for the app though it did make my experience better!

Amazing idea, total disaster

I love this idea, the execution is terrible. We got 60+ cheers recorded for my boyfriend’s virtual marathon and he could only listen to two of them before the app crashed. And I’m sorry, while you’re running you don’t want to be fiddling around with your phone trying to get your cheers to work. We did everything right when we recorded, it wasn’t user error (I read through the help section before to double check). So disappointing. I should have just figured out a way to do this myself instead of wasting my time on this garbage app.

App disconnects every 10 minutes

This app is a waste of time. Fortunately I tracked my run on another app just in case this one failed. Poor quality...maybe it’s an issue of too many users on same day. Whatever it was they did not live up to expectations for 2020 MCM.

Not intuitive at all

First you need to fix whatever your differences are with FaceBook. Not being able to post a link made getting the message out to send cheers real difficult. Also add a web based way to cheer. I suggest changing the interface to find the runner first. Then the race. Then the date. It took me a while to figure out why my race kept going away. Then I saw the little tiny date up in the corner. For my friends who did figure it out, the cheers came through as promised

Crashed continuously

Just finished Boston and cannot hear 205 cheers that were left for me. Huge ????? dampener on such a great day. Would’ve loved to hear my loved ones.

Great concept, poor execution

I downloaded the app for a marathon in a new city and was excited to have cheers from friends and family who couldn’t be there in person. Unfortunately, the app crashed after 2 miles and I wasn’t able to hear them until the end. I had a terrible race day, which would have been true whether the app worked or not, but I would at least have had some company in the misery.

Help!

Just got this app to use at MCM in Oct 27 ... question: does the cheer play over my music that I plan to listen to along the way???

Would be great...
??❤?✌?

...if the messages didn’t stop playing after mile 5 of the Marine Corps Marathon for me. I had a really rough race and could have used those messages from my friends. Thankful I could still listen to them afterwards but really sad they didn’t play at the mile markers after mile 5. Thankful to have been able to listen to them prior to mile 5 though.

Great concept, no execution!

Love the concept of this app. Downloaded it for the Marine Corps Marathon, but it crashed after mile 2, so I barely got any of the messages my family left for me.
