Love this app. There are some small gripes and it could definitely use an update, but overall, it’s a great app. Still waiting for the print to Moleskine feature.....

Forces You To Provide Info for an “Account”

I wish I could say that I loved this app; I was ready to love it. Unfortunately, the very first thing that pops up is a message telling you that it “works best “ with notifications turned on, and then prompts you to allow notifications. Not cool. I don’t WANT notifications from ANY app. So, notifications declined. Next thing, you need to sign up for an “account”. Why accounts? Well, there is a clickable link that allows you to ask that exact question! And it tells you basically that it will “work best” if they know your personal information, such as your email address. Certain features, “like productivity sharing” and “morpholio cloud storage” need you to have an account! Well, Morpholio, if I want to share my stuff with someone, I will do it my own way, thanks, and I already have enough of my OWN storage; I don’t need yours. And you don’t offer to provide me the tools WITHOUT using those “features” that require me to provide my personal data to you. (Yeah, yeah, I know, you’re not going to sell it to anyone, right, so you say. But I still don’t want to have to give it to you, because I like my PRIVACY.) So the fact that your app is ONLY available to people who give you their personal information really begs the question, “What ARE you going to do with all that personal info you get when someone opens an ‘account’ with you?” You COULD let people use the digital sketchbook tools WITHOUT an ‘account’ but require them to have an ‘account’ if they WANTED to share or use your storage or print out their books. But you don’t. This tells me that the ONLY reason you offer this supposedly nifty (I wouldn’t know) app for FREE in the App Store is so that you can GATHER OUR DATA once we download it. And I don’t know about anyone else out there, but I am frankly SICK AND TIRED of having to give out my email address for everything from ordering a sandwich to clipping a coupon, to opening a supposedly “free” sketchbook app! And then to have to go and click “UNSUBSCRIBE” in all the millions of emails I get from all the companies who thought it was in my best interest for them to have unlimited access to my email inbox. ENOUGH ALREADY. Folks, something is NOT FREE if you have to “PAY” with your personal information in order to use it, and then “PAY” again with your TIME in order to get them to stop emailing you, and possibly KEEP “paying” when their database gets hacked or they DO share your information with undisclosed third parties, and your other accounts get compromised and you’re forced to change all your passwords and so on. VOTE WITH YOUR FEET, people. Stop acquiescing to everyone forcing you to give them your information! There is just NO LEGITIMATE REASON for this practice. Facebook has made you all into compliant zombies, and now every other “Developer” on the block asks for your personal data. Just SAY NO.

I have been journaling, sketching, etc, in paper notebooks all my life. A few months ago, I found that I could no longer have a paper journal that would remain private (snooping family member). No more journaling for me. Depression followed. This app on my iPad with the Apple Pencil has saved my sanity. I can hand write and add photos, draw, paint, collage- everything that I used to do- I just do it digitally now. It’s as close as I ever expect to get to the “real thing”- and my digital art skills have vastly improved. I love it.

Great Writing App

I just started using this app and it's been really great so far. As a writer, I enjoy being able to quickly jot down notes that come and go too quickly. This little journal app has been great and captures my written thoughts with the character of my hand. Highly recommend it.

Best sketchbook app I've found so far...

I've tried a bunch of sketchbook apps, and this one seems the most natural to use. I've been working with it for a week now, and the feel of the "book" and the drawing tools are the best that I've found yet. This one allows you to get really good and rich textures- the closest to actual drawing and composing on paper- but you need to buy the extra tools to get the best ones. Bit of a bummer, but they're pretty cheap. Since I got it, it's one app that I seem to keep coming back to...

Pages are great!!

I love the pages/journal concept where I can pick up and drop my doodles and scribbles. I imagine looking back after many days or months and flipping through all my old pages to see all my thoughts at the time. What a great way to store my designs!!
