Behind the Moon

I really dig the Dark Side of the Moon. This is a well mapped app and I'm looking forward to any upgrades/updates that may be coming in the future. Thanks for a great app.

Incredibly sharp and detailed photos! Love it.

Moon Globe App

This is great information tool for anyone that wants to know about landing sites. Additional surface data is good at identifying craters and other points of interests.

BEST MOON APP

All inclusive moon app. I've downloaded dozens of sub par apps looking for this one and just wish I found it first! 360 completely zoom-able view of entire moon with full labels and links! You can easily spend hours blissfully lost in this app. The calendar/shadow function is amazing. The lunar landing maps are amazing. The function, speed, and detail are AMAZING. buy this app!

The Moon does not have an atmosphere

Anthony in SF

This app is not very useful as a guide for observing the Moon simply because the terminator (the line between light and dark) fades vaguely across the Moon's surface rather than being a sharp line. Midnight Martian seems to have imported the terminator from their Mars Globe app -- Mars has an atmosphere and therefore twilight, but the Moon is airless and the terminator is perfectly sharp. You need to know where the Moon's terminator is at any given time to identify craters and other features seen through a telescope. The vague terminator is the biggest problem with this app, but it also lacks information important to the serious observer, such as lunar latitude and longitude, libration, and anything beyond the most basic information about specific lunar objects. A link to wikipedia is fine when you have an internet connection and time to read a wikipedia article, but I would expect a mobile app to have more information available from within the app, and to have it organized in a quickly useful format.

Very Useful App

I particularly like the Telescope view feature to help identify what you are seeing in the eyepiece. I like the way you can turn the identifications on and off, and that it also provides the Apollo landing sites, etc. It is worth the small payment to get the HD version.

Cool App

Fun!

Best Lunar Atlas App out there

This app utterly blows away all others I have used including ones costing much more. Can't go wrong with this one.
