Good interface, but ...

The interface on this implementation of the classical game is pretty intuitive, but still subject to fumblefingers of course. My biggest complaint is that there are way too many times when the game boils down to a guessing choice rather than logical or mathematical skill. Frequently it boils down to four squares, or sometimes even two, where it is provably impossible to actually determine the proper move. Other than that, I like this game and spend way too much time on it.

Gave me an ad that couldn’t be closed. There was an X on the screen and it did nothing. It’s a shame because I did like this app, but I won’t put up with toxic business strategies.
The Only Good Minesweeper App on the App Store

I tried most of the free Minesweeper apps available and they usually stink. This version feels the closest to the classic desktop version I remember, but with good touch controls. One minor caveat - I recommend the in-app purchase to remove the ads. Loading them up seemed to slow things down a bit and without them, the app is super speedy.

My absolute favorite game, I never get tired of it. I love the puzzle, love the balance of logic and odds. I went hunting for a Minesweeper app for my iPhone years ago when it became more of a pain to play on my Windows PC; tried a few, and settled on this one. This app functions perfectly, uses little storage or processor, never needs updating. If I could change anything, I would add (1) some tracking of results, and (2) some greater emphasis on time - I love playing quick and seeing if I can beat my time.

I love minesweeper. This app allows me to play the game, with relatively few ads, and gives me an interface that is easy to navigate. 37/37 stars.
