Great Dictionary App

Indarien

When I first bought this, it was okay but there were better options out there. After all the updates, continuous support, and improvements this is definitely the go to app for Japanese and English. While I still keep a couple other dictionaries on my phone for reference, Midori is what I use on a daily basis. Well worth the price in every respect.

Amazing Japanese Dictionary

I've been studying Japanese for almost 7 years now, and this is probably the best dictionary you'll ever come by! 100% recommend it.

Please add SRS feature to "bookmarks" for 単語 flashcard study. Otherwise, it's #1 !!

Midori has been my "go to" since it debuted. It's gone from good, to great, to "wow", amazing how it keeps getting better and better. But I *so* hope to see a way to drill my "bookmarked" lists of terms. I can do this with various 漢字, but **not with the vocab words themselves**. The "lists" feauture is kinda cool, but I'd prefer to see a re-design combining *my* lists with the app creator's, as these terms are confusing. (these are rightly called "lists" in Anki, Memrise, Skritter, etc.) Anyway, currently, my "bookmarked" (lists) are are not yet available for SRS flashcard study. I feel this is **key** for re-inforcing kanji / vocab, and would make a **perfect** study tool -- so, could you do that, next? ((お願いします!))...

Get This One!

The best designed and usable Japanese dictionary on the App Store. Amazing! I use it all the time. Has great examples and lets you draw and search for kanji. Also let's you past large fields of text and translate. However I would say that a basic knowledge of Japanese definitely makes this dictionary all the more useful. It gets straight to business! Update 1/23/17: still the best. Still use it all the time ;)

Best Japanese dictionary out there

Great resource when learning Japanese

Excellent resource!

This app is great for learning, and reference. I used it successfully several times to quickly look up key words and build sentences when I was in Japan. You can enter a word in English and are presented with options - and pronunciations. This is really nice if you suspect that you know what a sign says, but want to validate.

If you study Japanese and have an iOS device, you need this app

tinyapps

Midori is essential for Japanese language students. If you're wondering whether or not you need this app, the answer is "yes". Its value far exceeds its modest price. Finally, the developer is the most responsive I've ever had the pleasure of interacting with; he takes great pains to make Midori as comprehensive and polished as possible.

So good

Wow just gets better with every update. So many easy ways to look up kanji. So worth the price.

Indispensable

I've had this app since 2012 and I use it nearly every day. An indispensable resource for those learning Japanese.

Great app!

I really like this app better than most others out there. You can disable/enable different features for the flash cards so they appear as you want them to. Being able to draw the kanji is very helpful too. The only feature that would make the app perfect is being able to choose a folder and practicing flash cards from all subfolders. Right now you can only practice one set of vocab at a time, but it'd be great to be able to mix them up.
