One of the best dictionary's

Kk.(Mitchie)!!

So a lot of people like both imiwa and Japanese dictionaries... which is fine they are both great apps but I found that Japanese doesn't have an analysis sections... but I loved the layout...while imiwa's layout I didn't really like it...tbh it was just a little too much going on but I liked the conjugation section... but I wanted both of the features in one app and I found it with Midori sure you have to pay.. but this is a great app that is constantly updated those other two apps haven't been updated since 2014 that's not good because it means there entries that could be old and not used in daily Japanese conversation and the entry's that are so old that they may not help if your looking for a particular word... :( ? but midori is updated and has great features and benefits they have a new feature for writing kanji that will benefit me because I don't know stroke order and when I write the kanji it doesn't ever come up but now I can write the kanji and it will recognise the kanji that I'm looking for! ??? I wouldn't say the other ones aren't worth downloading but considering that this app is constantly changing and updating for the better and has more entries that are useful to daily conversation and learning I would definitely recommend this app to anyone who wanted a Japanese dictionary that's worth taking up space on your phone and can actually help with searching for kanji, Japanese names and kanji using example sentence!! ??????????❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Excellent App

I heartily recommend this app for its large word bank, built-in flash card system, and the ability to translate large chunks of text at one time. This app is my 掛け替えのない物‼️

My favorite Japanese app

m1k83l

I'm living in Japan, and I rely on this app everyday. It's my favorite Japanese app by far. The interface is clean, the information shown is useful, and I find the translate feature more useful than google translate.

Amazing ?

I love this dictionary, it has everything I need ❤️

Near perfect ??

The app itself is a life saver. However, I would like to request a few things. 1.) Please implement multiple access points to the Notes folder. Often times, I'm on the Bookmarks page reviewing one thing to later find myself needing to access the Notes folder at the same time but can't without backing out of what I'm doing. Additionally, adding a general or loose notes area for notes that aren't in direct connection with a character would be great. 2.) If you can, give the Example sentences underneath the Characters an option to switch between N5 - N1 type sentences. Trying to learn more advanced sentences early on is of course insane so it'd be great if there were a way for people like myself just starting out with the language to read simpler sentence structures. I'm often scrolling to find easier example sentences to read so this would mean the world if you could. ? - ありがとうございます

Lack accent

学徒chris

It's useless without info about where the accent is in a word. It also doesn't provide sample pronunciation. Useless in learning Japanese. I can google for simply translation purposes.

I've been using this app around 2 years now.

This app has been indispensable for me while studying. The update also has made it better, because when it comes to kanji that you may not get the stroke order right for, you can now have options pop up. Where earlier, if the order was wrong, you had no chance. This caused me to have to jump back and forth between this and Google Translate, just to find the character I needed. Also, I love the fact that the example sentences are now an option along with the names and words. It makes everything so much smoother and I'm loving it!

The best app to aid in Japanese study

Deverex

Calling this app "just a dictionary" is an insult to the app. It's depth is so incredible, that while it hasn't replaced my textbooks, it sure comes close. It has helped immensely in my kanji studies, to the point that it plays an integral role. With this app, it allows me to see the relationships between various kanji to help me get a better understanding of each meaning. This app is so good, I'd switch over from Android just to use it; I love it just that much. I can't recommend this enough. I don't really purchase apps, but this app is so well worth it, I had to leave a review for people who are like me. None of this is hyperbole, I really do love this app so much. Denouttaden.

The BEST Dictionary Investment

peachyjams

I remember sitting in Japanese 401 and one of my friends had this app. (I didn't have an iPhone at the time but this app was a deciding factor in making the switch from android.) I was so envious because of the length you wouldn't even begin to think this app goes to. Example sentences. Loan words organized by the language Japanese borrows from. Kanji AND words organized by JLPT level. Plus much more!

Single biggest help to Jpn study

RASCPA

This app changed my Japanese study life. Having nearly given up on learning kanji, Midori's flash cards feature and pre-made lists gave me the boost I needed. Best dictionary I ever purchased, by far. Thank you!
