Potential Replacement for Notes Writer App

Lana Yuna

A notes with collaboration?!?! Microsoft has OneNote, but OneNote takes too much OneDrive space. Solution? Microsoft Whiteboard. The whiteboard has zoom in and out function, giving you a whole lot of space to put down all the stuff in one page. The whiteboard background is customizable (color, grid, lines). The pen has fun color options like color gradient (different hues) and the view of twilight. The sticky notes are very flexible (rotation, size of sticky note). The app is however very laggy since I believe it is still in the new app stage. I would like pen pressure sensitivity by movement speed option. The pens feel really rough with blocky lines. Zooming into the canvas is kinda tough because the app thinks I’m trying to move around the canvas while I am trying to look at the whole picture. I would also like to be able to adjust the sticky note’s text size. It’s quite hard to see short texts.

Lots of Potential but Needs Work

dlangendorf

There are many apps like this one, in one form or another. What drives me batty is laggy performance, jagged handwriting and illustration. I can understand it on older devices, but it shouldn’t be this way on reasonably newer ones and with a Pencil. If an app’s handwriting is laggy and jaggy, it gets tossed aside. There’s no excuse. That said, the app has potential. By the way, One Note’s handwriting was awful for a long time. It’s better now but not as good as it could be. Handwriting quality is such a large part of the user experience and satisfaction, why scrimp on it?

App works great

coderXtreme

They need to update to allow organizations to use. The comments about the app being bricked due to the update is no longer accurate.

Point of Improvements

AppWatch7

Since the app is designed to work with the Apple Pencil so well why my not have the Apple Pencil battery percentage displayed? Could we have a screen rotation control as well?

Great idea, poor implementation

Alireza ?

While the idea of a real-time shared whiteboard is great, this app seems half-baked. Performance is awful and there are multiple UX issues. Hope they improve this app in the coming updates.

Slow

KhashayarJan

The app is really slow I know it’s not meant for extensive writing or drawing, but still... I have he latest iPad Pro (11 inch) and it's lagging when I move my pencil Not optimized at all!!! Also pen sizes are very limited and small

Looks great! Feels Sluggish

BruceAB11

I love OneNote but man this feels sluggish and unresponsive.

Simple and easy

Love using Microsoft software on my iPad and loved the idea of integration/communication with my OneNote. However, when I try to use the “send to OneNote” function, it’s telling me that there are no notebooks (which is not true). Would love for this to be fixed and then would definitely give it a 5/5.

App looks beautiful and sleek to use ‘Lots of tools”

Sherap6

This app is unbelievably beautiful and sleek to draw things around. Ruler feature is awesome. Thank you Microsoft.
