Almost there!

I am a huge fan of Wunderlist, an app that keeps my family and my work organized. So when Microsoft purchased the company, I was skeptical to any new iteration of the to do app. This new Microsoft To-Do app is good, and its close to being a Wunderlist equal. I'm sure the team is already working on these additions but since they are asking for feedback it felt right to give it. 1 - List sharing. My family and I stay organized with shared lists such as the grocery store or home improvement. Would love to see the addition of collaborators on this app. 2 - App integration. Would love to see this integrated with O365 and Outlook. 3 - Subtasks. Projects are kept together with baby steps. Please add subtasks. 4 - Today list. The new My Day list is interesting. I really like that I can choose from suggestions. But if it could also have the automatic addition of tasks I've listed for that day added, it would be perfect. Right now I need to go through the unnecessary step of always adding to My Day. 5 - Multiple accounts. This is a suggestion, but some people like to have work and home separated. I know when I get home, I don't want to think about work. Having an easy way to switch between accounts would be nice rather than signing out and signing in each time. UPDATE: After posting the initial review a months ago I have yet to see the most important need, List Sharing, integrates into the app. To even start using this app, I must be able to share lists with team members or family. I have also not received any response from MS or Wunderlist regarding this. Hello? Dropping the rating to 1 from 3. UPDATE #2: The app is still not in my daily workflow and won’t be until it has the features of Wunderlist. It needs folders, and most important, list sharing!! When will this be a feature?

Good, but not great

There is no option to email the list to someone else, which limits my use when I send one of the kids to the grocery. Also, deleting items takes too many steps. When I’m in a grocery store, I just want to quickly “swipe” it off as I pick up items.

This app continues to get worse

Scheduled repeat tasks keep drifting. Example a daily task when completed schedules the task for the day after the day it should be due. A biweekly task schedules ahead for a month later. Weekly tasks schedule for two weeks ahead. No folders, no sub tasks, etc, etc, etc.

Promising - But Can’t Trust It Yet

This is a promising to-do app that I can actually use at work since it’s included in our O365 apps, but will not jump-in completely until it becomes more reliable. The interface is simple, easy to use and has just enough features to meet most of my needs without all the complexity of too many task managers these days. But after just starting to use it I am already seeing bugs like duplicate tasks that are apparently mirrors of each other because when I deleted one of the duplicates they both disappeared! Yikes! I like a simple task manager - but one I can trust!! I can’t trust this one yet. But will keep it on the phone for now and see if a few updates come through before I start trying to use it more.

App hangs when I try to log in

Great app, love the update!

I can’t even use it :( Created an account with a phone number and verified with text, but it just freezes when I log in with it. Sadness. Was hoping to try this app out.

To simplistic

Useful only for simple tasks and chores.

Utter dissapointment

I am absolutely gobsmacked that anyone would give Microsoft To-Do anything more than 1 star. I'm sorry Microsoft, but as it stands this app is horrific. The funny thing is you have a fantastic To-Do program already, it's called Microsoft Planner. All you have to do is make that a standalone App that everyone can use for free (list sharing, sub stasks and collaboration being included) or even a premium version that would included -attachments, photos, larger lists, advanced alarms, team management etc. at a comparable price of $2.99 a month. I'd pay that and I know many others who would as well. I'm just saying, please don't let Microsoft To-Do become the next failure in a long line of failures. <Internet Explorer, Win ME, Zune, Vista, Win 8, Surface 1, Edge>

Too much trouble

Not yet ready for use. Too difficult to manage daily list. It seems silly I need to set due dates and reminders as well as click it again just to put it into a view for the day. Notifications not working and app freezes and crashes. This is all after one day of use. Had to go back to Wunderlist for my sanity.

Functions

When is attachments coming?! Biggest flaw in the app, just let us link OneDrive already or Dropbox?!

Wunderlist is better (search your feelings you know it to be true)

This is a to do list app. It performs that function simply and it performs it well. But I really hope this won't come to replace Wunderlist. Wunderlist does everything I want they way I want and this app falls just short of Wunderlists functionlity. If this app adopted the feature set of Wunderlist I would use it everyday.
