Great improvements, little recommendation

Mastermathman

The inclusion of the scroll bars for the excel is very helpful if have to jump from cell to cell quickly, but would recommend the the scroll bar feature be active scroll so that it would be easy to know how far to go instead of guessing that you went far enough and realize you beed to go either to far/not far enough

Cannot run VBA macros

Nate848

With all of its boasted “full desktop functionality”, Excel for IOS cannot run VBA macros due to an Apple restriction. Funny that this lack of functionality has me considering ditching the iPad altogether for a Microsoft Surface product with REAL full Excel functionality.

Time Sheets for Entertainment Labor.

SkyHunter_LAW

This app is great. All the features work just like the full featured computer version. It allows for our leads in the field, to fill in the time sheets via their phones. For example outdoor events don’t always have a production office or for the first day or two hasn’t been established. Being able to do the work on your phone makes for a easy day. Imagine trying to set up a computer on a road case then tether to the Internet just to fill out time sheets n save to company Dropbox ?!!! This app is a win win.

I have used Excel for a long time. It's very easy to understand and use. I use it to inventory my hobbies as well as my bills.

No edit on iPad mini wo signin??

jo2jo

The description clearly says the core functions are free on iPhone and iPad, I’m simply trying to edit a few cells on my own spreadsheet I emailed myself. Apparently you need to sign up for a useless Microsoft account just to do that. No thanks- I don’t need another useless login and password/privacy policy floating around just for basic functionality of a single app. iOS mail already allows you to view spreadsheets, or even better , free google drive allows you to view and edit excel files (and a free Google Drive account actually provide some Real functionality, as opposed to a free Microsoft account which I’m sure is also crippled until you pay). I really think it’s pathetic that you can’t even edit your own spreadsheet without signing up for a bs Microsoft account (that’s another useless login + long password you have to keep track of, and be vigilant of next time there’s a credential dump / hack occurs), I have no need for a Microsoft account beyond using Excel on iOS, so I won’t be signing up and won’t be using this app. In all honesty I’m sure I have a few useless Microsoft accounts i was forced to signed up for over the years for other useless garbage I quit using after a few weeks. Either provide a functional app or don’t (or charge a onetime fee), I would be willing to pay five or $10 or even 20$ one time just for the added features, + would understand more advanced functionality might still require a monthly subscription. But not monthly fee for just the basics. Typical Microsoft deceptive ads and description along w greedy practices.

Functional but continued sharing issues

TimSchuerger3

I have no problems with this app other than the fact the documents I’ve shared to people to Edit & View turned locked randomly for them and me (the owner of the worksheet). It’s continuously irritating. App Update Needed.

Off line access

I’m not sure why I’m unable to edit spreadsheets off line

Great till crash

Spad70

Sometimes crashes, usually at the most inopportune times. But most of the time extremely useful. Just save files often.

Unreliable and extremely aggravating.

Rastaguy2

I can’t open files MOST of the time, for no reason at all.
