Initial reactions to Word on an iPad

I have perhaps 30 years of experience with Word but this version is not very intuitive and I am quite disappointed. Usage is not seamless across devices. Perhaps I made an error in installing it but I am using an iPad with a large screen and the software doesn’t recognize it and thinks it is a phone. Very disappointing since no questions were asked about my device during the installation.

The screen is too small and there is no way to maxi to full screen from the app. I’m uninstalling because this is not useful at all.

Save yourself the trouble. It won’t let you print to your OWN printer. So )&@“/#% frustrating!!!!!!!

While this takes up less memory on my device, it doesn’t feel like it makes things easier or faster when using Office. If I have individual apps on my home screen, I can start the needed workflow faster than opening Office then looking for Word or Excel. Also a true iPad version is needed for me to get meaningful work done. I can zoom in on my iPad, but lots of screen space is wasted, and again, there is no advantage than using the individual iPad versions of MS Office.

This app was not designed with the iPad in mind. Please take some time to ensure that it can work properly with the iPad and can fit on a larger screen.
