I do not know what I was thinking for purchasing this game at a $7.99 price point, but I did! My only excuse is that I made the purchase late at night, other than that feeble excuse it's all on me just being STUPID!!! I have not really played any turn based games but I thought after reading the description this might be a good way to introduce myself into the genre.... Well what I found was below average graphics, a weak story line and confusing game play that made no sense! I wish this was a .99 cent mistake and I would not have even spent the time writing a review but I really felt compelled to warn any potential buyers that $7.99 is nothing short of stealing. Maybe I am way off here but I have a feeling that if you dare to purchase this you will come away feeling the same way I do. If the developers want to give me my money back I would really appreciate it ( they can even keep .99 cents because I do deserve to pay something for being so stupid) but after reading this post I'm sure they will not be empathetic to my request and it also seems that I was the only a-hole to purchase this app! Anyway if anyone reads this post please be sure that you are a huge fan of this sort of game before you purchase it or better yet if your like me take $7.99 and buy a quart of paint put it on a wall and watch it dry as that will provide you with more entertainment for your money than this app could provide! Again, shame on the developers for charging $7 F_ _ _ _ ing .99 for this app and shame on me for purchasing it. Btw, I was so pissed that I deleted the app in the hopes that I will forget that I ever made the purchase.

After reading the one review I feel I need to submit a positive one. Now I'm an old board war-game turn based geek so this game is right up my alley. Yes the graphics are very weak but there is some depth to the game. The more money you earn the better units and weapons you get. I enjoyed the strategy you must employ. All in all maybe a little overpriced but I have enjoyed playing it and I'm happy with the purchase.

This game is a good game n I have a few games that r in this style so it was easy for me to figure out how to play this game. But I do have a few problems with playing the game, once in a while, when I or the enemy is using artillery the screen starts to go all crazy n won't let me do anything but exit out or hit the button on top of my iPad to get it to stop. Also when I use artillery it won't let me look around once and awhile. But other then that, it's still a great game. They should add some kind of online thing where people can challenge others to test out there strategy skills against others. Also as a finally note, they should make it where u can play an old mission to gain money (even if it means u can only claim a small amount) because it's hard to do some of the missions with out losing a few men on the mission or even by better weapons with out selling one of ur current machines.

The interface is pretty nice, the game balance is good, and overall, a lot of fun. Having the ability to quicksave and go back after making some stupid tactical mistake is nice, and the whole "paper-scissors-stone" weapon mechanism works out well too. Pretty much like War of Eustrath HD, except without the same polish. Definitely worth picking up if you enjoyed that game, and the devs seem well committed to keeping up with improvements on it.

This game is awesome! I only wish for more missions after end game. Even though there are loads of mechs to choose from, this game leaves me drooling for more. I would love to see future updates with more missions, mechs and weapons. If not than maybe Metal Brigade 2 or something! I would buy it in a heartbeat.
Very Strong Turn Based Tactical Game

If you like turn based tactical wargames, this is a game for you. I am several maps into it, and yes, it is getting quite hard on normal setting. I actually like the fact that I can fail, go back and pick/equip mechs differently and then win. If you like RTS with great graphics and fast action, this is not for you; if you like thinking your way through difficult turn based games with the RPG kick of improving equipment/chars then its money well spent.

The concept and some aspects of the game are exactly what I was looking for - which is probably why I am so disappointed. Issues: 1. Movement board is squares not octagons. This is so poorly thought out and creates all sorts of frustrating inconsistencies. For example you can shoot twice as far north south east and west as you can diagnaly north east, south east, etc. Not even an attempt to round the corners of this diamond to better approximate a radious. Come on guys, the octagon was figured out for gaming in the seventies! This, by it,s self', turns what would have been something really good to junk. 2. Only suffered for a while at the medium level - but the AI was atrocious and behaved illogically. 3. Story line was mildly annoying.

Fun, turn based strat. game. reminds me of a game for the pc called Titans of Steel. Great starting point, hope they release more material, weapons and mechs. Love the giant robot genre!
