MEMORIZATION IS HARD
When people try to memorize scripture, there’s a pretty standard bag of tricks that never works. You put a post-it on your dashboard, you write it on your bathroom mirror, etc. Or maybe you’ve tried something more quizzing yourself with flashcards or fill-in-the-blanks.
Few of these techniques really expose you to the original text for any amount of time. How are you supposed to learn it if you never read it?
HOW WE MAKE IT EASIER
We believe that the best way to memorize something is to HEAR it over and over.
Why? Because hearing it means you don't have to actively read it. Instead you listen and soak it in - paying attention whenever you can. Now you can be memorizing while you drive or while you work.
Furthermore, when you hear the text spoken with your tone, inflection, and rhythm it will be especially natural for you to listen and SPEAK/THINK ALONG. When you start to memorize portions of it, bump the skill level up to “EASY”. This will periodically fade the audio out for a small amount of time, leaving you a chance to really test your ability. No worries if you get it wrong, the audio will fade back in and your learning continues.
LEARN A CHAPTER, NOT A VERSE
We really encourage people to stretch themselves to learn scripture in chapters instead of verses. This may seem impossible, but think about this... how many songs do you know word for word? Of course a song is more fun to listen to, but it demonstrates the power of hearing something over and over again.

Love this app. Enjoy driving and listening to an audio loop I’m trying to memorize. I get lost in it and the miles fly by. Would like for it to have a timer so I could fall asleep to the audio clip. Thanks.

Deleted one recording, and the deleted everything. I lost four years of scripts and recordings. Really tragic.

I recorded a performance that was 88 min long, and the app has never been able to replay the performance without crashing. Unless there is some help that the developers want to make available to purchasers, I’ve lost the entire performance.

I purchases the same app and it told me the same thing about I had already paid but it want let u put unlimited recordings on it. What’s up with the app? Please, please fix the app

I’ve had the upgraded app for couple of years now and it was great. However, recently their support is non existent. In the past if I had an issue reinstalling upgraded version because of a phone upgrade there was no problem. Well I’ve upgraded phone again and I cannot upgrade app version. I’ve emailed support several times and no response yet, horrible support!

AsI struggled to memorize bible verses, my 55 year old brain would have none of it. Since I began listening to my recorded verses while driving or using another app, the information “painlessly”(without much effort)sinks in!

I’m getting ready for a mission trip to Mexico. I typed in verses and parts of my lessons in the app. I wanted my friend, who is Mexican, to record it for me to help with my pronunciation. When I opened the app at her house, nothing had been saved. I had to enter the info all over again. I love being able to play the things I’m wanting to memorize in a continuous loop. It’s also wonderful for learning languages. You can have a native speaker record what you want. This really helps with your pronunciation and flow of phrases.

I downloaded the program and recorded a few scripts that I need to learn. So far, so good. Then came the problem (and resulting 3 star vs 5 star review). I reached the maximum amount of recording I could do without buying the full program upgrade. For 99 cents I was ready, willing and able to upgrade. Unfortunately, the app will not allow me to upgrade. I click the “upgrade” button and the app says “connecting” for about 20 seconds and nothing happens. Such a bummer. I really wanted to love this app.

The app is very good and it was working perfectly fine. All of a sudden every time I open up the app it now says "can't connect to iTunes Store". What can I do?
