Notifications

I wish the notifications were either louder or somehow more “visible” so you dont miss them. I feel it is the same forgettable as taking the pills if you don’t see the notifications

Need options for notifications

App is great at what it does. Easy to setup and very helpful reminders. I would like the option to turn off the notifications for summaries. I don’t use them at all and it’s annoying- sufficiently so I’m considering changing apps.

Noon medication

Amazing weather info

I really like the alert for my morning round of meds, but I don’t know how to set up one for noon or bedtime. Could you give me some direction on that? Thanks so much-

Thoughts from a Medicine Skipper ?

SOLO HERSELF

Using this app is changing my life. I love the little bottle shaking it do and it’s like you can hear the medicine. Lol ?. This feature made me want to start taking the medicine for real. I also like how it keeps reminding you. You might feel bugged the first couple days (if you a med skipper) but then it grows on you. Now I’m prepared for the sound got some food and something to drink ready. Just me and the app ?. Thank y’all really. It also shows facts about your medicine which is a plus I know I wanted to look at the side effects and it was cool I could look in the app instead of having to exit and go to google. Wonderful app really! Can’t wait to see what else it does as time goes on….. ❤️

Concerned about Privacy, basically none

If you read the privacy ALL the way through, first it says info but not connected to you and later it says your contact info then discusses use with advertising or marketing. All combined with the “I’m not yet sure if I believe it but DO suspect it” no-option acceptance of Apple’s iPhone agreement which supposedly has buried in it the option of possible sales of collected health data… all is feeling a bit uncomfortable. WHY CANT THERE BE JUST ONE HEALTH APP SUCH AS THIS FOR MEDICATIONS, THAT CAN REMAIN PRIVATE?? Perhaps eventually I may have to turn as others have to the independent world of volunteer creators to get away from Apple and Microsoft and others. Good things often get used for bad things. I first thought this when hospitals and doctors all began putting all health data in one databank and accessed by one app. A great idea but there’s no way insurance companies, actuaries etc., wouldn’t give a lot to get that info.

Excellent!

Helping me to maintain my medication schedule and very easy to use!

I appreciate the annoying reminders!

Medisafe does a great job of consistently bugging me to take my meds!!

Great app but notifications need work

andywolfface

I love using this app to track and remind me to take my medication. It is great and convenient at doctor’s appointments for easily listing all my medications. One thing that I find very bothersome is the inability to shut off any notifications not related to your medication reminder alarm. Notifications for weekly summaries and progress constantly pop up on my screen. I find these intrusive and I never view these and would like to disable them. I really want this app to do one simple thing, without the extra notifications confusing me about about whether I need to take medication.

Getting Better

Mr Toner

Many improvements since I looked at the app last, probably six years ago. The skeuomorphism, my primary complaint, is gone. Although persistent reminders are not truly there, critical alerts (an iOS 14 feature) have been introduced, which helps in this area. Still, I’m disappointed that I can’t just jump into the app and back out when I take meds. Three taps to take a med? And meds taken as needed are at least additional tap away on another screen? It’s only one tap for any of those in my current app. __________________ This app would be more attractive, at least to me, if it would drop the pillbox skeuomorph in favor of a simple list. More data would be available to the user without tapping and the larger tap targets would be easier to hit. Also, the current UI doesn't indicate which meds are taken at what time, other than to group them in a quadrant. I have four doses in the morning—one med at 7and 11 and two at 8—and the app puts all of them at arbitrary positions. That aside, the app hits some important features for me: meds taken as needed and the ability to snooze reminders. I'd like to see persistent repeating reminders, so that if I miss (or ignore) a reminder I get reminded until I snooze it or take the medication. I'd also like to see the app reset reminders for meds taken on an hourly interval; for example, when I'm reminded to take a med at 7AM and I take it at 7:15, the next reminder (if "Every 4 hours") would be reset to 11:15. As a bonus, the app tracks multiple patients (for families, for example) and you can even share your medications and schedules with a caregiver. It appears that if you forget to take your medication, the app will notify those you've shared to after about 25 minutes and they are prompted to email, call, or text you (although the last two options are disabled in the alert—they're enabled in your feed) to get you back on track. Great features!
