A Broken Murderous Tower, You'll Never want to Stop Playing!

The free trial is short, but there is enough for you to decide whether this psychological, horror lite game is for you! I LOVE the creepy genre of games, so this is a definite buy. We already start the game by becoming trapped in a desolate tower by a murderous, artificial intelligence computer called S.A.R.A. who asks us to comply for the Gehenna project. Also, our friend Ted has been kidnapped by the Tower, and we must search to save his "Pathetic Life" according to S.A.R.A. The HOPs have a nice variety, as well as more creative puzzles that I would expect from an amazing developer such as Mad Head. The game does not forget to include a few scares, tentacles grabbing your limbs, padlocks turning into eyeballs, and a creepy masked man chasing you throughout the tower. I love how our character has her own voiceover, so there are no awkward pauses in dialogue between "Characters." There are also choices that can be made within the game that lead to either you surviving or dying. The audio and visuals are spectacular although I would prefer if the character's mouths would move. You cannot talk with your mouth closed in real life, so this should be carried over to virtual life. I liked the fuse box puzzle towards the beginning of the game where you have to use all of the fuses when linking them based on color. The entire story is completely original and not a spin off of another game from other developers. AMAX, Eipix, and Elefun could definetly learn from Mad Head's originality. This is a great purchase, especially during the sale! I rate a solid 5 stars! We would love to have more members join, and we are also hoping more developers would respond to our requests to join!

Kudos for cleverness

I didn't entirely get the main plot but I liked the various puzzles and esp liked one hop that featured a dead mans toupe. Also - having my name incorporated in story line interesting

Amazing, but wait till the kids go to bed.

One of the absolute best horror games I have played from BFG. So much fun, and very different from other games in its set up. It surprises me though that it is only rated 9+. This game is absolutely not for children and really plays up its horror elements. It's really sad to me that there are not more warnings to keep the younger audience away from walking into this one. I had no idea what I was in for and loved every second but it is scary! Even the small glitches and sometimes difficult instructions do not get in the way of this awesome game!

Too much commentary

I did not purchase this game. It seemed like it would be fun but way too much commentary!

Thank u, thank u Big Fish & developer Mad Head for finally giving us a game with some real edge - one that pushes the Big Fish envelope. Maze: Broken Tower is an incredible HOG that maintains an atmosphere of creepy suspense from start to finish. We're talking GROWN UP creepy suspense here-it is NOT a game for kids (or adults) who are easily frightened. Within minutes of playtime I was locked on & completely engaged. The storyline, the music, the artwork, the voice overs (especially S.A.R.A.) are incredible-together they helped create an atmosphere of impending danger that was palpable. I'm glad Mad Head didn't feel the need to rely only on some cheap jump scares to get us there. The game has this perfect balance of fear & curiosity & you find yourself driven forward. Despite your misgivings & feelings of doom, you WANT to peek around that next corner, you MUST open that new door. You are INVOLVED. The mini games breathe new life into the genre-you don't need to be a member of Mensa to solve them but they def make you think in a new & exciting way. Don't get me wrong, I'm a big fan of many Big Fish Games & hv come to luv developers like Artifex, Eipex Elephant & lately Domini but the sameness of their games and storylines were getting monotonous. I still buy Big Fish games from these developers but I find myself moving thru them on automatic pilot -there's not much excitement. The point & click/HOG genre def needed shaking up & Mad Head was just the earthquake to do that. PUH-LEEEEZ bring us more Mad Head in the future. If you make 'em, I'll buy 'em.

Intense, but excellent!

Very good game for adults. If you are looking for a fairytale game or a love story, this isn't for you of course; but please just because it is not for you, don't spoil the game with your bad reviews. There are plenty of other games that will please your taste, your kids and grandkids taste as well.

Entertaining and challenges your mind on your next move. Warning...plenty of creepy scenes related to mind control and torture. MK ultra comes to my mind. Your trapped in mind control building, you must be compliant or suffer pain through your bracelet. Your trying to gain your freedom, and along the way stop and try to help people being tortured. This game isn't for children or even young teens...IMO

Way to creepy

There is nothing wrong with this game as far as game play or graphics, I think it will be a great game for some but it's WAY to creepy for me. I hope we will get some less violent games, there is enough creepy violent stuff going on in real life so playing games with that theme is to much for me right now. I enjoy historical games with a less frightening story, hopefully something like that will come along soon. I'm going to purchase the game that came out Monday instead of this one. If you like freaky frightening genre then this is for you......I don't need any nightmares!! Thank you to all the great reviewers for their input, especially the ones that don't give so much info. That it kinda ruins the thrill of stumbling across the cool aspects of a game. L.M. Did an excellent review with only necessary information. Keep up the awesome reviews!!!

Surprised

Don't usually care for scary, creepy, horror games. This one drew me in though. I have enjoyed the game play. Lots to do.

Wow, unbelievably good 5 stars game here!

First off I have to say... WOW....... Hey all you gamers out there, I am absolutely thrilled to see this one from Mad Head! BUT ?NOT FOR KIDS UNDER 12! ? If you have kids that play your games or play when your done with them, I would highly suggest they're over 12 unless your child likes crazy, creepy things that go bump in the night. My son is 9 and there is absolutely no way I would let him play this game. He would have nightmares for weeks... maybe months so play this first, and make your decisions based on your experience. ??????WARNING!??????? One of the BEST, GAMES THUS FAR! BUT very CREEPY AND NOT FOR KIDS! Way to go Mad Head! Yes this one is a very unique story! I wouldn't want to cross S.A.R.A. Or the psycho brother! This isn't going to be for everyone. The story made me want to come back for more! I didn't like that the mouths didn't move with the characters, but that can be forgiven! I have said over and over again that we needed a unique story line sense most have already been made, and Mad Head listened! YOUR decision through some of the game will effect the story so choose wisely my friends! I mean that! ??? I just love the ability to have my thoughts, or the way I hunk, in the game itself. You'll be given options to chose from. ? SPOILER ALERT ? Sometimes, if you've chosen wrong, you'll die, but you'll come back, and have the option to chose the right answer. I had absolutely NO issues with downloading, no glitches, transaction between scenes were smooth, you had MORPHING objects in the HOS, you had little @ symbol looking collectibles in every scene. If you didn't find one, that's alright as well. Just go to the extra menu, or on the bottom of your inventory and where you see the @ looking symbol, just click that and it'll take you to the collectable screen. The ones that WERE collected are RED. The ones you've missed are YELLOW. Click the yellow ones and it'll take you to the scene where you've missed it, and you'll be able to find and collect that specific one. Do this each yellow one and you'll collect them all. Nothing special comes out of it, besides the satisfaction of finding them. 5 star rating for me, and I don't usually give to many 5 Stars. I say, BUY! While on sale at least. Try the free version and make your decision. Again, it's not going to be for everyone. But it's for me! I love a unique story and this one fits the bill! Try to stay clear of S.A.R.A.... IF you can....... Bravo Mad Head! Hey everyone, so sorry I haven't reviewed lately. I really got tired of all the negativity that surrounds people giving reviews, and saying hi to your friends on here. So I stopped reviewing but still played. I just want people to get along, give each other valuable reviews, and be happy. I hope y'all are enjoying your summer vacation, school is right around the corner. AGHhh. ?‍???‍?And so is ? FootBall! ? Wahoo. Good luck, happy Gaming, and thank you for all your honest reviews! Helps out a lot of people! ?MiniPaws Volunteer?
