Terrible Experience

One Suggestion, build a stand alone service (i.e. Cinemax Now) and build a apple TV app... The iOS app needs a laughable amount of improvements to be on par with other service like Netflix, HBO Now, Showtime and Starz.

Completely useless. Loads great. Sign in, great. Watch an episode or two of something, check. As soon as you leave and come back in a day or two, doesn’t work without completely removing and signing back in. Error on everything you try to watch - “.com.google.protobuf.invalidprotocol-bufferexception: protocol message tag had invalid wire type”. What does that even mean? Invalid wire type like I’m plugged in somehow. No tech support feedback or help. Nada. Why pay monthly to watch their content and then can’t watch without jumping thru hoops?
Worse than Hulu...how’s that possible?!

Won’t let you connect through a streaming service like prime video or Hulu so it’s easier to use on Apple TV. Apparently Cinemax thinks you have to have a cable subscription to use their stuff. An entire app devoted to the Knick while a little extra r&d should have been devoted to this one!

Every time I try to log in, it says that I don’t have Cinemax in my cable package, which is a lie. I watch movies on all of Cinemax’s channels and On Demand on my television. I wish I could give you a -5 rating, MaxGo. ?

These people think they can get away with such a trash app in this environment of strong competition. This app is so bad...it rarely ever works. The most inconvenient app for streaming....
No PSVue Option?

Why in the world would HBO/Max sell me a subscription to a channel then doesn’t support my provider on the app? PSVue is the top rated streaming service for TV, and this app doesn’t list it as an option for a service provider. Pointless app.

Why in heaven wouldn’t you have a MAX GO app channel for all the major streaming devices in 2019? Cinemax has made themselves irrelevant.
