Essentially worthless to Mastercook users

Go to Mastercook website and read FAQ's first. You cannot upload with the mobile app. I can't think of a use for this POS.

Awful

It screwed up my iPhone. I can't delete it or uninstall it.

Could be so much better. It's so bad that I can't even delete it! It honestly won't delete!

Excellent!!!

What a terrific program both easy to use and includes SUPERB customer service! Prior to this I used another program which constantly glitched through three iterations of itself over 2 years. I've owned Master Cook now for a couple months and never had an issue. Converting all my cookbooks from one program to the other was done flawlessly by Pam, in customer service. The end result is stunning! The mobile app works easily and allows me to access all my recipes from where I am with my smart phone. If I am near a computer I have the same ease by going to the MasterCook website.

Good concept, awful execution

The idea of this app is great. I like that it syncs with desktop and other devices. However, the mobile app is just awful. Hard to use. So much wasted space in the layouts. The header and footer are gigantic and the amount of white space is excessive. You should be able to fit more of a recipe on one page. Won't use until this is fixed but there have been no version updates in almost a year so I'm not holding out much hope. Guess my search will continue.

Great App*

Want to import directly from a webpage on my tablet to the app

I have just started using "Real Plans" and really like the app so far, but remembered Mastercook, so downloaded it again. Some constructive criticism: I really WANT to be able to use Mastercook on my tablet, as this is what I've used on my computer all these years and love it. However, I do NOT want to HAVE to go to my computer to download a recipe. I would like to be able to do what I can in Real Plans, which is copy and paste the address for a recipe I want to import, have it preload everything into the recipe format, be able to double-check that everything was loaded correctly and then, boom, it's in the app available to make a menu plan and shopping list. Too bad. I hope this will be a change soon, so I can use Mastercook again. Thanks.

It's OK, but unstable at times ...

Recently, the ability to see photos in MasterCook recipes has disappeared from the iOS app. I'd really like to be able to print a recipe from the iOS app, especially handy if you're cooking at someone else's home.

Super super buggy

Extremely buggy app. One time showed me log in credentials for someone else's account. Can't log in, can't recognize that I am online. Useless!

its not really free

You can only store 25 recipes on the app. Anything beyong that requires a subscription which will cost $25.00/year starting July 1st per MasterCook's blog. There should be an option to synch for those who do not want to use a cloud service.
