Lack of English is a showstopper

The app seems fine enough, but not having an option for English is a bit provincial and silly. Means you have to keep shifting between the app and translation help to figure out anything. I’m sure it’s very good, but if you don’t speak Dutch it’s pretty useless.
Good marketplace, obnoxious advertising

My main problem is that when I am scrolling through listings, often the advertisements will not accept a swipe event and instead open as if I tapped them. I know Marktplaats is trying to drive revenue through this extra advertising, but this is either an annoying bug or really bad behavior.

i was cheated on marktplaats last friday, i paid 80 euro for a kindle ereader, the seller disappeared after he received the money, i wrote a feedback explaining what happened to marktplaats but there is no any respond.

English the Dutch second language and used all over the world, so the menus should have and option for English.
It’s getting better but missing some features.

There is feedback for seller/buyer. So the only option to be sure you get your item is to get it by yourself by traveling to seller. English language in multi cultural society is a must, not an option. The recent update brought some annoying adds, popping several times...that’s several times too many. There is a competition growing very fast on Marketplace on FB, you might soon loose the game. Communication rating is a nice feature implemented recently. Still after a while no English version. “App works like a charm” pfff! Give me a break. I can’t even send a picture in conversation, not on WiFi not on cellular network.
