I like it that with a little ingenuity I CAN rate this app 4 days after attempting to use DropBox. DropBox performance is slow. I had hoped to learn MarkDown in a sandbox. But I’ll stick with regular expressions and Perl until performance improves.
I may have bought this before, or I needed a free editor to strip formatting from text I copied and pasted. This does that job. As for the rest. Well, there’s no “preview” mode which you’d expect in a markdown app. Plus, I was asked to rate it before I could unlock my “COULD” storage. And, the app hasn’t been updated in a year.
The Markdown language uses plain text formatting syntax to convert, well, plain text to HTML. This is not too complex. Unfortunately, this app is so restrictive and klunky it doesn’t work when I opened a document I started in another plain text editor. Although I could open and edit the document, their app’s Preview mode would not display it. I also quickly found the app’s UI often did not refresh and I had to change screens in order for the update to occur. And I completely agree with other reviewers that trying to require a user rating at startup is illogical and annoying. I probably would have paid one-time charge of $0.99 to see if VIP status changed things, but $12/yr, no way.
I was expecting a exquisite calendar app to help organize my school work. It was simply less then what I expected.
I need a markdown viewer but I'm unable to access my files in Dropbox until I write a review
