This app can do so much that it can take a while to learn everything it can do and really figure out how to use it to your best advantage. However, this app is what academics and serious students have been waiting for ever since we first began to see what could be possible with iPads and styli. This app + iPad Pro 9.7" + Apple Pencil = POWERFUL note-taking potential, especially for those who must work closely with complex texts. I can easily see this app being useful to all Humanities and Social Sciences researchers and students, but also lawyers, social workers...well, anyone who needs to mark up texts. Someday I hope that we will replace paper texts almost entirely with e-texts and at that time, apps like MarginNote will be absolutely indispensable. I have resisted moving to e-texts precisely because there was no good way to take margin notes by hand. MarginNote makes it possible to do this. I do not have the pro version and I do not yet know if the version I do have supports handwriting recognition. I am sure this app does have limitations but since I am still learning its capabilities, it is far too soon for me to critique limits. All academics should give this app a try. ❤️

尽管知道这是个好软件，也看见诸多人推荐。然而在半小时多的摸索后，还是决定用回notability。 希望作者能做出一个step by step的指引说明，教会大家如何使用，相信这样这个软件会有更多的受众。 此外，这个软件的手写相较于市面上一众成熟的书写软件，有较明显的延迟。
Great concept, not that simple.

The app has a great concept, but is not that user friendly. Hard to edit after the highlight has already been saved. I actually had to delete and import the same article three times for highlighting related issues . I'm deleting the app.

I've read the manual and watch the videos online, and I still can't figure out a way to make flash cards without five separate steps per card. Terrible app!

Oh my god. This is such an incredibly awful app. It's impossibly complex. It's not intuitive in any way. It's an absolute headache to use. I'm willing to bet there was zero usability testing involved in the development of this app. It's astonishing that the developer expects people to pay for "premium" features.

A nice graphic interface and useful app for me to note down the important info from lecture and also manage the notes in a proper way, easy for revise anytime.

I had a favorite book only available in ePub that I wanted to be able to highlight and take extensive notes. This is the only app I found that would import it perfectly and be able to the kind of note taking I wanted. Beautiful. You can do even more with PDF. But I found some workarounds to do what I want with ePub. Having so much fun!
