Excellent port of an excellent game

Phemius

My first real video game I ever played, Marathon 2: Durandal has a special place in my brain. This iPad version manages to bring the same game into the iPad with intuitive controls, graphics exactly the same (I haven't and probably won't buy the upgrade) and great support.

App broken on iOS 8/iPhone 6

Tau_sgr

The game no longer works after the upgrade to iOS 8. Any attempt to load a previously saved game or start a new game will cause the app to freeze, constantly loading the menu until the game crashes.

Great game, however the touch controls could use some work.

Icloudliker

I love this game. The story is great, the action is entertaining, the level design is fantastic, and the atmosphere is ultra immersive. I am mildly disappointed with the controls, because I often have to fight them to do what I want, which can be stressful when facing the Cyborg tank things. Do not let my complaint deter you from making this purchase, however. I love the Marathon series, and I think it should be a series every gamer plays before they die. So get out there, and remember, Never, Ever, leave a single BOB alive.

MAJOR problem.

I am playing on iPhone 6, and when I start a new game I choose my difficulty setting, and start the game but then it keeps displaying the difficulty screen over and over and I can't stop. Please fix this.

Broken under iOS 8

Rickzilla

There is a show stopper bug that prevents you from starting a game. The port was awesome but clearly not supported any longer.

Love game; can't play it

watchyourstep

Played this game as a kid. Loved it! Great story, fun gameplay. Can't play it on my iPhone 6, iOS 8.2 I understand the developer is investigating - I hope to play this soon.

Good but flawed

Leon McJiggets

Really good and faithful port of the original game, but several flaws keep it from getting five stars. First, the directional movement is wonky at best; traveling in a straight line (such as when you need to traverse a narrow path with no walls) is way more difficult than it needs to be. Second, there is no "escape" key for exiting a transport terminal when you do not want to transport. Hopefully these will be addressed in a future update. It's still an amazing romp and addictive.

Love it wish it had multiplayer

Novaops game loft account

This game was made by bungie the people who made halo and marathon is taking place after halo how interesting but any way needs multiplayer survival mode and co-op other than that would be great I own the Xbox 360 version of it

I want my money back

Juan the shisno

It's a great game but the HD and Master cheif mode won't give me my money back

Doesn't work

Mr.Dunno

I'm on a iPhone 6 Plus with IOS 8.1.2 and all 3 of the Marathon games are not working. I haven't played the series before so I was hoping this port would work. I'll update my software today, but since the last update for the game was 2 years ago I doubt it will do much.
