Works great most of the time

The warning message that you that you may need empty the sd card should be a suggestion not something that prevents take off. If I’ve used my 16 gig sd card to fly 80% of my flight, I’m pretty sure it’ll be fine with 5.06 gigs of space left. And a full as card isn’t going to cause me to crash so I’ll take that risk over not getting my job done.

Please HELP!

TimDrivesAlot

When I attempt to start the flight, nothing happens!?! I “fiddled” with the app for 20 minutes to no avail. Downloaded a competitors app, and I was in the air in just a couple minutes... 1)I’ve been impressed with MapsMadeEasy 2)I don’t want to go another route, but I’m frustrated currently 3)I don’t want to lose my $19.98 (which reminds me: the main app is $9.99 BUT then you seemingly HAVE to download the “terrain thing”for another $9.99....did I miss understand that) 4) I REALLY do want to believe in this app, BUT I must say the competitor’s was 2 or 3 times more intuitive, user friendly, and effective. Please work with me to make me the satisfied user I planned to be! If we can get things right, I feel certain I’ll be giving 5 stars!

Easiest Mapping on Market

Powers111

This App turns 3D mapping aka photogrammetry or SFM (Structure for Motion) as easy as it gets. No ground control points (GCPs) required, easy UI, and their own engine to stitch giving you ten outputs to include OBJ, TIFF, MTL, 3D JPEG and more. I recommend purchasing the business version as having terrain awareness amongst other impressive features is well worth it over $10.

Works much better than PIX4D

SGLS Drone Pilot

Works much better than PIX4D pilot app. It's very user friendly. This one let's you continue the flight where it left off sheet landing. PIX4D makes you assume where you need to continue the flight When your battery dies. Hopefully they update this software to work with the Mavic Air. My Land Surveying company is buying Mavic Air's for each truck to do quick aerial mapping

Good App But Need Some Refinement

km4lkx

The app works well but has a few bugs that you should be aware of. 1. After changing out the first battery the speed limit setting defaults to 33mph and there is no way to change it so the rest of your mission will be flow at top speed. 2. White Balance settings are sunny, cloudy and auto. Defaults to auto after battery change and stays on auto even if you select sunny or cloudy. Overall, great mapping software but could use some refinements. Will continue to use on overcast days where white balance will not fluctuate.

Great drone mapping app!

First mission flew perfectly (after an initial app restart). The interface is pretty easy to operate once you read the instructions and uploading to the site is a breeze. But I wish the app and the website were more connected for viewing created maps and planning maps. Also the app is a little rough around the edges and could use a little love from a graphic designer (not a programmer).

Works as advertised!

It does what you need it to do to get decent quality images for processing into maps. Ive been able to successfully use the images captured with this app in Pix4D and Agisoft. The back button doesnt appear to work on my iPad Air 2 from the map screen, but thats a minor annoyance.

Needs more options fix please

Guitar Rookie

I like how you can plot your flight pattern, and this app does a good job at flying it for you. Here's where the app falls short "imo" I takes way, way, way to many photos. The app needs to have the ability for the user to select where along the flight path you want a photo taken by dropping pins of your poi. Current version you have to fly higher for less photos. It also needs the option to pick the distance between your passes without having to go to a higher altitude. Here's an example of what it should be able to do.... Let's say I want to fly a 50 acre area, I want to fly at 150ft, take 6 photos of poi, and make 6 passes within this area. If you were to try flying a 50 acre area at 150ft with the way the app is now, you would make approx 20-30 passes and take 900 photos not joking.

Won't connect to Inspire 1

Fhhowdy

Not impressed with this app. Looks good in the adds, but won't connect to my Inspire 1. No response from customer service. Only reference is a post from early October saying they had problems with the current API and would have an update in 9 days. The other apps I have work great with the DJI API. I'll update my review if/when they ever respond and fix the app. Looks like I wasted $10 so far...

A few bugs, but good

The app won't establish the initial connect to DJI on the mission planner screen, so you'll need to connect to the aircraft with the mission manager screen. Took me a week to figure that out. Support has been non-existent to me, so minus a star. The app works great, once you figure out how to connect the plane, though. This app will be five stars once support is better, and once they make some key changes that allow more consistent and stable connections to the aircraft. The changes include the ability to set the angle and direction of the gimbal during a mission, the ability to rerun a mission without closing the app, the ability to modify an existing pre-planned mission, and some others.
