I like it fairly well; however I'm still waiting for more user-friendly for finding elevation. And I'll give it a 5 when I can post comments without any problems on a consistent basis!


Completely innacurate

I did a hike, and then plotted on Caltopo. This is truly an inferior hiking app. 1. App shows 13.5 miles. Caltopo shows 11 miles. 2. I wore my HRM, and when I click to view the heart rate data, it crashes EVERY TIME 3. One day later, and still not syncing 4. Cannot view elevation while using. Seriously!? It’s supposed to be a HIKING APP. 5. No topo maps!? For a HIKING APP!? 6. Calorie burn was estimated waaaay too high. If someone relied on these numbers to help estimate calorie intake, they’d gain weight fast. No, I did NOT burn over 5000 calories on this hike. Max calorie burn would have been 2000, and probably not even that much. Cancelling my free trial and deleting the app. There are better, more accurate FREE apps out there.

This was a great app, but the update forces you to select your country of origin and once you do and click "next," nothing happens. Fix this.

No support for Apple Health

This app used to write data to Apple Health. Since they’ve made their paying customers switch over to this version of the app, it no longer connects. UA support says it’s a known issue and that they’ll contact me once resolved. It’s been a month and no fix or updates on a fix.
