I scheduled a pick up from 12pm-4pm. Makespace confirmed with me and ask me to make sure I'm home during that time. But no one came to pick up even after 4pm. I called and asked and all I got was Makespace saying they don't know when the UPS supposed to come, they say they can't do anything and they don't server my area. Why would you ask me to choose a time frame if you don't know if that's the actual time they will come? And why do you even serve Boston when you said you don't know who is responsible for this location.

When you call them they say it's the busy season and there's nothing they can do about it.

You are responsible for everything. That includes how their employees handle your stuff. If something is damaged by their staff at any point, it is your fault.

I have stored my items with this company prior and it was great and this time it turned out not to so great as before because I found out to late that they don't deliver to my current address which was only25 minutes away from the previous address and then they call me in the day of delivery to tell me that one of my glass table legs are damaged in which they discovered this morning. I appreciated the phone call but wow! Most definitely I would recommend them to anyone storing their items they just need to branch them selves outside of the beltway and they would make more customers like me and anyone else happier and more money would be for their pockets!!!

Makespace is NOT for you if you need to get to your stuff in a timely manner. Are your friends going on a last minute ski trip this weekend, but your skis are in storage? Well you can't go because it'll take at least a week for them to get to you! My stuff has been lost, mislabeled, and they have been late with appointments. NOT RECOMMENDED. Also, the app basically doesn't do much so you have to call during their pathetically short customer service hours to get anything done.

The concept of this company is great, but in the end I got totally hosed. The day of my move, their truck arrived already full. They couldn't take much of my stuff so I had to buy a second storage unit! Cost over double what I had budgeted. I don't have access to any of my stuff until I give them a weeks notice. Terrible. So disappointed I used this service. DON'T DO IT john

From the first phone call to obtain a quote, through pickup and storage of our household goods, MakeSpace has been a godsend! We were using Public Storage, a local self-storage company for a few months, and to say our experience with them was a nightmare - would be the understatement of the year. We were being charged $176 for a 10x10 unit, and our rent just increased to $201 after 5 months; not to mention their customer service was just horrible... but this review isn't about Public Storage, it's about our storage savior, MakeSpace. My first interaction with MakeSpace was with Camilla. She was just wonderful to work with, so upbeat, friendly, and most importantly - knowledgeable. She addressed all my questions and concerns without missing a beat, and when I emailed MakeSpace with a few extra questions that I hadn't thought of during the initial consultation, she promptly called me back with answers. For the number of household goods we needed to be stored, we were given a quote of $135 a month, saving $41 a month AND I was assured that my rate will never ever go up. Then on the day of the delivery, the MakeSpace team arrived early (after checking in with us of course), and they carefully wrapped, labeled, and packed all of our goods from the old storage unit into their truck - we didn't have to lift a finger. Not only that, but they take photos of our items, and their app makes viewing our goods and re-delivery extraordinarily simple. If you are in Los Angeles (or any other major metro area that MakeSpace services), and are using self-storage, take my advice and ditch them ASAP. MakeSpace is the way to go. MakeSpace, you are my hero!

Not even 1 Star !!!! This is a simple app con I already alerted others in this ! They do what they say ! However they do not supply any contact and clear communicating practice .. I had a talk with the bbb and they have a way to hide behind the app !!! It’s all automated and no real brick and mortar location or will they ever put a Real ceo or corporate owner on the phone !! They do this so they can incur fees ! And lock you in !!! I am posting this also on my social Media sites also to save Real People from not getting smoked !!! This seems to be the road they take ... there is no real care for the customer .. who always is right !!!
