I like the app but one recommandation

SHDOW EFE

I like the app it promotes chess and teaches it for people that haven't been familiar with chess before. It is especially helpful when kids want to learn chess. Experienced - high elo players don't need this app which is expected. Then you ask why 4 stars? Well there is no Iphone X support and it does get frustrating when you are trying to click on a smaller screen. If the developers would update it for the Iphone X as well I would give this app 5 stars. Since the upcoming Iphone's will also have a notch but a smaller one I don't see why it shouldn't be implemented.

Now I get it!

I have always had an interest in chess, but have never known much more than the basic rules of the games. I’ve played around with other chess apps, but despite practicing, I wasn’t getting any better. Finally, I’m learning something! Way more than I ever thought there was to know. I’ve been so inspired in just three weeks of using the app, that I watched the entire 2018 Altibox Norway Chess Tournament live! Thank you for bridging the gap between my interest and my ability.

This is good simulator to help you understand true chess at champions level and I've played simulations against the best of the world

Great App

Diamond Phantom.

This app is one of the best chess training apps out there. It challenges you with fun mini games that present a real challenge and gives very straight forward easy to understand lessons. Thank you Magnus!

Amazing, but could use more functionality

Serenityx1234029483828

Its obvious a huge amount of effort went into this app, but I think there some things Id still like to see different. One example is it would be awesome if there was a “sandbox” mode. One where you could control all pieces on the board/ability to move all pieces into a desired position before initiating play. Do for example you start “sandbox mode”, you set up the board however you like then once you’re done you can allow AI to come in and start playing from a pre-made board. Another thing Id LOVE to see is more functionality within the mini games, the mini games are already above and beyond my expectations for this app but the fact that you are only allowed to play them with semi-random pieces is kind of a disappointment. A way to fix this would be allowing players to choose which piece they play mini games with e.g. if I want to play a game with the knight only, I should be allowed to do so.

Speed?

MusicallyCat7936

I mean it’s good, but not everything is about the speed in chess. I’d just like to point out that one thing that bothers me, but overall it’s a great app!

Great app!

Thanks for creating this. It's quite helpful.

Creative and fun chess app

Jskal

This app has really brought a new dimension of creativity to chess training and chess apps. In short, the games are fun, and in some ways they often feel like “brain games” and not strictly a chess app. I have only been playing through the “Easy” games/level for the last week but find it addicting because it is so unique. The games really have the potential to help you look at a chess board differently (e.g geometrically). I only hope to continue to be impressed with the unique games and hope they can really help with more advanced chess concepts like visualization and calculations.

I have had the app for 4 months now

At first the app was really good but recently it has begun to crash every time I open it so I deleted it and got it back it didn't crash immediately but right after I logged in it crashed!??? I can no longer rate this 5 stars because I can't even play it anymore.
